I purchased a house that has a beautiful kitchen but the kitchen is a light oak like a country wood but has a glossy finish. They had a basic round matching wood table with 4 wood chairs in the kitchen. I like more fancy tables and I am always drawn to dining room tables and chairs. I like the fake marble tables but they are all made with dark wood. Any ideas anywhere of what I can get to match this kitchen that is more modern and fun / fancy. This seems to be very hard to find for this color wood?

I have been refurbishing wood for over 7 years now and I love it. I redid our redwood deck, patio furniture, 2 roll top desks, kitchen table, cabinets, upstairs bathroom and much more. But have not worked with teak wood yet. My neighbors recently asked me if I would like to earn some extra $ by redoing their teak wood patio set that they have owned for 7 years. They complimented me on all the work they have seen me do over the years and wanted to get my “professional” opinon. I went over and checked their patio set out and said I would get back to them in a couple of days. I’ve researched several websites and have gotten lots of ideas, but they are all so different in the how-to’s. I would like to do a great job for them and make some money at the same time but am a little apprehensive. I would also like to know if anyone could give me an estimate or ballpark figure on how much one usually charges for something like this. It’s a 5 piece octogonal table and chairs with slates

when i got my tables and dresser redone the man charged me 35 dollars an hour and charged me for the stripper and sandpaper everything he needed to do the job it was exspensive but i think without the extras 35 was worth the price.it is a hard job.

How can anyone answer this question if we don’t know where you have your house, or how big it is? The price depends on the exact size of your house and the exact economic conditions in your area. A painter in Beverly hills, CA would charge far more for this job, for the same sized house, than a painter in St. John, ND.
Also, I would recommend that you color coat the stucco, not paint it. Color coat lasts longer and is the intended method of adding color to the outside of a stucco building., but you would need to hire a plasterer for that job and a painter for the trim.
