My husband and I are trying to do a low cost rehab of a large bathroom. I found a tv stand that is a perfect fit if we can somehow wall mount it for a floating effect and add vessel sinks and a glass countertop. The only problem is that the piece is heavy and we have metal studs for the most part. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

You need to find the center of the metal studs, either with a stud finder or use a very small diameter nail and poke through the wall to find the edges of the stud. The next stud should be 16 inches apart. Find the center for both studs where you want to mount the TV stand.
You may need to use 4 right angle brackets to hold the the tv stand. 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Next drill holes into the metal studs at the height that you want the brackets and secure them to the wall with metal screws.
I would suggest a # 10 metal screw at lest 1.5 inches long or larger. Use a drill bit that is smaller then the diameter of the screw under the threads.

I think you’ll find that a lot of these mattresses are similar. Here is a site on foam toppers and mattresses I found useful, hope this helps.

There is water coming out of the pipes in the walls when i turn the water to the house on, but just tiny droplets of water come out the faucet when it’s turned on.
The problem has to be with the plumbing in the sink? Or no? Help?!?1

There is probably a filter in the faucet itself. If you unscrew the filter cover right where the water comes out of the faucet. You can remove the filter and this should give you better water flow.

I see it has a lot of flavors to go with it, but is the coffee strong enough out of those little individual packages? I like mine strong, strong enough to stand a spoon up in.

Do you mean table skirting like for banquet tables at a party? You can find this at places that sell food service/restaurant/catering supplies. How reasonable the price is I don’t know.

I saw these advertised in the latest Williams-Sonoma catalog. Is this a good set to buy? My Emeril 10 piece set is falling apart. I would love a set that’s dishwasher safe, but I’m skeptical. Thanks.

The new anodized aluminum line is dishwasher safe. The s/s cookware was and still is dishwasher safe.

Question : Has anyone tried using a featherbed mattress topper in their duvet cover instead of the normal down comforter?
I have not had good luck with regular down comforters not bunching up etc. inside my coverlet, but I know that featherbed mattress toppers keep their shape much longer, so I was just wondering if it would be okay to stuff my duvet cover with a featherbed instead of the down comforter.

The toppers are very heavy. Have you tried to attach ties to the corners of your duvet cover that you could attach to the comforter? That has worked for me. I had a feather bed that i ended up giving away. They are also not wide enough as they just sit on top of the mattress.

Question : Wireless home alarm systems, have you tried one?
Do you think they would be an effective line of defense for my apartment that is on the slightly rougher side of town?
I have a sliding glass door downstairs with an easily accessible patio facing the street.
Any tips for intruder prevention here would be helpful but mainly regarding hardware and these wireless systems.

put a stick in the sliding glass doors when closed so even when locked nobody can open them.the alarms i know nothing about sounds like a good idear.
