The TV Timer is a home burglar-deterrent device. It allows your TV to turn on and off at times of your choosing while you’re away from home.
Burglars almost never attempt to enter a home if they think it’s occupied. Lights connected to timers are so commonplace that they don’t fool burglars much anymore. Plus, lights are static, but the light and sound from an operating TV is entirely different – it’s dynamic and says to an aspiring burglar: “This house is occupied – go break in somewhere else!”
The TV Timer can be easily programmed to provide up to 20 on/off cycles per day, and each day of the week can have its own unique schedule. It also offers a “random” feature, which will automatically turn your TV on and off with no set pattern. It has a manual override button, which allows you to turn the TV on or off normally, without affecting the programming.
Installation is simple – just plug the TV Timer into the outlet and then plug your TV into the TV Timer. It comes with a pre-installed back-up battery to save your programming in case of a power failure and to enable you to program it even when it’s not plugged into an outlet. The unit’s LCD display always shows the current time.
In addition to using this as an anti-burglary device, you can also use it as an alarm clock that lets you wake up to your favorite TV show instead of an alarm or the radio.

With all due respect; I do not know. I guess I understand about wanting a light dimmer; and too I understand this FACT…Fans are meant to cool people not rooms; and I admit to forgetting too; but I’ve never considered a timer to help synaps that don’t always fire. I wish you success.

give me the model number and I will try to look it up on their site. I do know you will need to push a button on the tv and hold it while pushing another on the remote.
