I stopped putting my son to bed with a blanket when he was about four months old and started moving around in his crib. I know they say not to have any pillows or blankets in with the baby, but when is it okay to start putting them back in? He is almost nine months old. Is that still too young?

Alyssa will be 9 months old on Wednesday and she has had a blanket from day 1. She sleeps better with one.

How much does it cost to start a lawn care and landscaping business dealing with: retaining walls, mulch beds, laying out landscape designs, lawn mowing, and constructions of decks and patios. And also what would be the grand total abouts with the insurance and all the equipment i would need? Thanks!

depends on what equipment if any you already have –
for doing the landscape design portion – it won’t cost much –
at all
for the lawn care – if you want to start with good equipment –
you’ll need at least one walk behind mower, and a good tight radius mower – figure about $ 6000 – $ 8000
a trailer – $ 2000 ?
Pickup truck – used/new???
tools – rakes, shovels, etc….. $ 300- $ 400
chain saw – $ 300
trimmers- $ 250 ea
for the deck building – unless you want to dig footings by hand
figure on either renting a power auger for each job – or buying one – if you buy probably around $ 1200
then saws, hammers (manual – pneumatic??) levels , compressor, generator- etc…
$ 300 – $ 4000 depending on how much you buy
and you better have some operating cash as well –
at least $ 2000-$ 3000
for your lawn cutting business – you should get paid weekly – or try to set up contracts where they give you a downpayment at the begining of the year – and then pay you monthly
on your landscaping business – they should pay you something for the design – if they give you the landscaping job tell them you’ll deduct the design fee off the cost of the landscaping job – for the landscaping you should get
1/3 up front – 1/3 after all the beds are prepped/top soil in and shrubs delivered – and then 1/3 when you complete
same holds true for your deck jobs – 1/3 up front – 1/3 when materials get delivered – 1/3 when complete

its good you are keen to work, firstly ,make up some flyers and deliver them locally, and to the regions aound you, and as you get work you can go further try different places, as you might not get work in the first place you try. pick one suburb at a time maybe one a week. the only thing being you will need to have someone drive you from place to place.

Pass out flyers to the homes in your neighborhood. Have them say something like “support local business”. The less you charge the more yards you will cut and you can try to put neighbors on a schedule. If they go on the schedule charge them less. Offer a 25% off price deal to start, do a great job work hard and they will use you again. owning a small business is hard work so be prepared to stick with it, you don’t want your neighbors thinking you are slack.

Question : What tools would i need to start a successful lawn care business? And how do i attract customers?
I’m looking to start a business in lawn care and landscaping. I know all the tools i need and have them for concrete work. But im also looking to get into retaining walls, mulch beds, blue prints for landscaping, decks and patios, mowing, and of course any other odds and ends. I love doing the work, and im also unsure on how to attract customers without spending huge money on advertisting. Essentially im wondering what tools and equpiment i will need to run a successful business.

first you can go to Sears or tractor supply and get a whole truck full of supplies like weedeaters and bush clippers.then start out and do you friends lawn to make sure you do an awesome job then you send out flyers and get you friend to tell thier friends and soon you will have a business on the lawn.

Question : infocus x1a projector doesnt start?
when i try starting the projector, the power light etc starts normally but the lamp doesnt start, and there comes a small chrr chrr sound..i waited for sometime removed the cables and fit them again and it started normally..now after 24 hours i tried to restart the projector and it again gave the same kind of noise initially and now its not starting at all. Everytime the lamp tries to start and makes the noise but the lamp doesnt start. please help
Is there are way to replace or repair the ballast? It seemed like some minor connection problem as I said after making that noise it worked after i removed the cable and replugged them and tapped the air vents. but as i said today its not working. It keeps on making that lamp starting noise but the lamp doesnt start. I checked the lamp it seems perfectly fine.

It could be the ballast. The most likely parts to go are the lamp or the ballast (which is necessary to get the lamp to start). See the questions and answers at the link.

Question : I am 16 and looking to start a Lawn Mowing business in my neighborhood?
I cut my father’s lawn regularly and thought that it might be a good idea to start a mowing business in my area. I am planning to charge according to the size of the lawn. I have thought about charging by the minute (2rand per minute) but i think the first option seems better. I have my own equipment as well.
Can anybody give me advice or tips on how to go about this, and what should i put on my advertisement?

I would put out flyers. Stating what you are doing and how much you charge. The days you are avalible and the times your free to mowe.. at the bottom I would put your email address ( personaly i think adding your phone number could be unsafe) and have them email you about when they would like you to do this. set up a appointment i guess.
On the flyers I would make a border add some color make it look creative and add a picture of a lawn mower or a nice yard with flowers..
Altho At 16 years old it would just be easier to have a real job even if its fast food.

the security lights up sometimes and disaper after that, but sometimes the van won.t start until I wait like 15 minutes then when i try again the van starts normally can you help me please to define the problem.

security module under ignition is on its way out by the sounds of it you can try spraying cleaner in the ignition switch to clean the contacts. I’ve seen the wires going from the switch to the module chafe also try leaving the key in the on position for about 10 minutes next time it does it and see if the light goes out
