What are the yellowish stains on my Featherbed?
I had a feather bed for about 9 years. I noticed today is something slightly yellowish, round spots on them while cleaning. I do not pee in the bed, so it is not what it is? Any ideas? Should I throw it or have it professionally answer

Try scrubbing them with a plastic pot scraper – so it won’t scratch – and baking soda.

How do I remove glass ring stains from a marble table top? I’ve tried a couple of things, but I’m out of solutions. The top is pretty dull so I don’t know if re-waxing the top would work? Thoughts?

I’ve used tooth paste (not the gel kind) and a tooth brush to remove glass rings from a wooden table. Never tried it on marble.

Question : Are rug doctor carpet cleaning machines good for stains?
My carpet has several stains from oil/grease from an office chair that was on the carpet, there are about 50 little round black stains and am wondering if the rug doctor cleaning machines would work to get these stains out of my carpet? because I’m not sure if these machines are just for general cleaning of carpets or if they get stains out?

They are great for general cleaning of the carpet, but what gets the stains out is the cleaning product itself. There are spot removers etc, but I usually just use Bissell rug and carpet shampoo.
Put a few drops on a sponge and go over the spots. You might find that you don’t even need to use the machine after all.

There are two ways;
1. Use a paint thinner or paint remover and remove stains from the floor manually.
2. Cover the floor with a solution of Caustic Soda and allow it to remain on the floor overnight. In the morning scrub the floor with a brush and wash it clean with water.

Question : carpet stains?
I’ve cleaned my carpets about a half a dozen times in the last couple of months, and every time I try a different cleaner, but the really bad stains keep coming back up. I’ve tried a couple of different pretreaters, like oxy-laundry spray, the oxy-clean powder, and finaly last night I used Meijer brand color safe bleach diluted. I don’t know yet if the bleach is going to work or not, it usually takes a few days for the stains to come back. And in my carpet cleaner I’ve tried the color safe bleach, (last night) oxy-clean powder, and laundry soap. I always add a liquid fabric softener in every refill in my carpet cleaner, could that affect the cleaning agent? And also, other than the ones that I’ve tried, what specific types of cleaning agents can I use for pre-treating, and in my cleaner that will take that stains out peminatly? I really don’t want to hire someone to do it just because I don’t know which cleaner to use.

I’m a renter, and I’ll be honest and say I haven’t taken the best care of the carpets. I really don’t want to pay a fee when I move. Would steam cleaning help? It’s mostly stains from food spills or tracked in dirt.

It’s got a fair chance of working.
Vacuum first with the best vacuum you can borrow.
Pretreat the grubby areas with pre-spotter or something like a solution of Biz (test first in a hidden area), and then use the steam cleaner. DO NOT GET THE CARPET TOO WET: guck from under the carpet will wick up and stain all the tops of the fibers and it looks *really* bad.
Use the cleaning machine according to directions, but be sure to use the vacuum portion at least twice over each area to get as much out as possible. More vacuuming and not so much cleaning solution usually gives the best results.

Whisk, The Laundry Detergent, works really well. Just spray it on and let it set for a while then wash it off with a hose. You may have to do it a couple of times depending upon how much oil and grease there is.
