My puppy is scratching my legs and arms. I cut his nails but then they are still sharp. He is a chihuahua mix so he is not going outside in this Buffalo, NY weather. What else can I do? I was gonna try to grind them so they are smooth. Or maybe paint them with something so they are not so rough?

You can hurt your dog by trimming his nails, if you can’t do it right of course.

Get them trimmed by the Vet.

Question : anyone ever seen 37 1/2 inch wide mini blinds?
When I got my house all the windows are the same width and the guy bought all the blinds. I have looked everywhere and unless I get them custom made, I can’t find the size. They are just regular mini blinds (aluminum)nice but nothing fancy. He told me he thinks he bought them and Lowes and no….not there. Could I buy them bigger and somehow fit a 37 inch up there or is there a 38 inch? Anyone have any ideas?

Question : Looking for an unusual type of ceiling fan seen years ago.?
This fan was in a restaurant, so is probably a commercial model. It consisted of a chain that ran along a beam on the ceiling, and on that chain were 4 or 5 fan blades than hung down in a line, and swung back and forth together. The swinging produced the breeze.

The restaurant is no longer there, and the interior has since been remodeled, so I can’t find out through that route.

Any idea what this type of fan is called, and where I could find one?

Try contacting Dan’s Fan City (www.dansfancity.com). They might sell something like that or know where you can get it.

Or you can try and contact Cheddar’s. It’s a restaurant chain we have here in Tampa…they have something similar to that but instead of swinging they have a chain driven fan that moves in vertical circles.

Ok, for Casablanca i just need to know reasons why it was such a hit when it first came out, like why did it appeal to the audience in its day? I have some reasons but i could use more so thanks ahead of time for the help!

and for Citizen Kane I need filmic elements used in the movie, i have Camera Angles and Lighting, but i need some more of those, and if you could explain how they were important that would be great! once again thanks ahead of time! i appreciate it

Casablanca wasn’t really a hit when it first came out; it performed modestly but garnered great critical acclaim and went on to win Best Picture. It was an entertaining and patriotic film made during the time of war and was recognized as a great achievement in writing/directing even then.

As for Kane… lighting and camera angles are good examples. The best by far though, is its pioneering use of Deep Focus- the technique in which there is action on all “stages” (foreground… middle… background) and they are all entirely in focus.
