It is an extremely rare day that I do not have a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say, on a bad track in the crowd. I am more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I have to say. It’s just not bad in the crowd. No fillers here at all.
Weekend On The Rocks is a beautifully diverse mix of the 17 tracks that are very well written and brilliant songs by this clearly gifted musicians. Most of the songs display a lot of feeling that everything is working for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own real life experiences. At different points touching the real emotions of love, sorrow, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all there.
Listen and I think you will agree with me that the song choices are excellent, the production is excellent and Dave Matthews Band is clearly a group that is in good shape.
Although this CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 3 – Disc 1 – Time of the season, Track 7 – Disc 1 – the hunger for the great light, and track 9 – Disc 2 -. Every day,
