Question : Why are most road salt storage buildings shaped like Hershey’s Kisses?
I am from Buffalo where all the buildings that store road salt for dispersal are shaped like hershey kisses and they are generaly tiled with brown shingles. After riding through St. Louis last night I saw the same buildings. Wouldnt a rectable or a square be more effecient? Their must be a reason.. .enlighten me.

your front brakes do most of the braking in your car compared to the rear wheels. that’s because of the weight transfer of the car. try it with a bicycle, you can brake much faster using only your front wheel compared to only using your rear wheel.
the master cylinder in your car has two chambers. in older cars, one chamber controls the rear brakes and the other controls the front brakes. if one of the chambers in the master cylinder fails on older cars, either your rear brakes won’t work, or your front brakes won’t work. so its a 50/50 chance that your front brakes will work. but if you had each chambers controling one rear brake and one front brake each, the chances of you having one front wheel working will be 100% if one chamber fails. so you’ll be guaranteed to be able to slow down three of your wheels, one front wheel and two rear wheels because you always have your emergency brake. the emergency brake just pulls a cable that applies your rear brake.
so that’s why. so your guaranteed to have one working front brake for better braking power. if you go further back into time, master cylinders had only one chamber so if that fails, you have no brakes. that’s why car makers moved on to master cylinders with two chambers and now each chamber controling a front and rear wheel.
