We had some damage to kitchen floor which homeowners insurance is covering cost to replace. Flooring company just out with samples of engineered hardwood, but after she left I notice it says commercial flooring on the sample board. What is the difference between commercial and residential engineered hardwood? this is Armstrong, Beckford plank.

Commercial flooring is usually much more heavy-duty (and expensive) than residential flooring.

We were looking to get a few rooms professionally cleaned in our home. However, what is the biggest diff btw. Chem-dry places and regular companies, like COIT or Stanley Steemer. We know the thing about no liquid/water, but does that make a diffference? Anything else? Because the cost between the 2 is quite a bit, so we were wondering if it makes up for it. Thanks!

I had my carpets professionaly cleaned (with water) and they looked no better than when I did them myself with my household steamer, or rental unit’s in the past.

We heat our house with a gas/forced-air furnace (less than 10-years old) and seek information on how we might retrofit to a geothermal heating and cooling system. How much a pool or coil is needed per sq/ft of heated/cooled interior space ? Is the installation expensive?
