My Mother’s house was broken into 2 weeks ago, and again this Friday. I want to stop the robbers before they get inside, and catch them on videotape for the police. What is the best monitoring camera that will continuously record for 24 hours, and the best home alarm security system with remote notification to my BlackBerry? If I am not with my Mother, I want to know when the alarm has been tripped. She is almost 91 years old and I worry about her. She was home alone when they broke her rear window in her home the first time.

Ok I want to record a show in 1.5 hours but I’m afraid the other TV (TV1) hooked up to the DVR will have to watch it too? Because tonight someone else was recording a show and we had to cancel it so someone else could watch the homerun derby?

I have read that it is not possible with Dish DVR’s, unless you change the mode to single TV and connect to your TV. Dish lost a court battle with Tivo and is not allowed to record two channels at the same time due to Tivo’s patents. You can google it to find out more.
