It probably won’t raise the value much of anything, it at all, and will probably just be an additional expense you will not recover. This is one of those things that is nice to have but because it is hidden and cannot be seen, most buyers who have never had this type of heating won’t be able to relate to it at all and will dismiss it as a sheer nicety. What is more important is the overall look of the kitchen and bathroom; the counter space, door fronts, appliances, etc, things the wife can see and can relate to. She will have no clue about copper pipes buried in the floor.

I suppose you could use a grinding wheel on a drill to remove it, but it would probably end up making a huge dusty mess and may also damage the original tub finish. I don’t envy you taking on this task, messy and very time consuming! Be careful using a razor blade, porcelain finishes are slippery and you could cut yourself so always work with it going away from yourself!

Question : Do the porcelain kits work for repairing old bathroom sinks?
I’m selling my house and the bathroon sink is in really bad shape and can’t be replaced, I guess, without tearing out all the tile and drywall. I did the one in my other bathroom and I ain’t doing that again. So, can I
get by with one of the kits. And how much work does it really take? The top overflow drain has rusted out, and thats really what I need to work on.

They work great but , follow the directions exactly and don’t get that epoxy on anything else it will never come off.
