If there is water in the wall , then you have a plumbing problem.
If there is water on the floor, could be plumbing, could be seals on the grout.
One is plumbing one is General Contractor stuff.

I am redoing a downstairs half bath. Whoever installed the last sink just did a number to the drywall around the drain pipe. Is there a ring or technique for making a nice clean edge around the drywall repair?

You can get them in either chrome metal or white plastic.
If youre not breaking the line by disconnecting after the shut off valve you need to put a small slit in the ring. That way you can open it up and slide over the water line.

First off, I’d like to say that I am NOT a plumber, so I don’t really know anything about it other than common sense. Anyways I have just installed a pedestal sink, after first removing the past vanity sink. So I hooked the flexible cords from the hot and cold faucet to the shut off valves on the wall, and where the cords meet the shut off valve, they are leaking water a little bit. I tried using caulk, but it won’t stick since the tube or nuts are wet. Is there anything, maybe like a spray foam, or something that I can put on them to dry fast and adhere to a wet surface to keep it from leaking? Thanks to any answers that come my way! I need them!

If you used those plastic ones with the small brass rings that go on them and the nut to squeese them then you should take them off and throw them straight into the garbage. Now go to your local hardware store and pick up the staniless covered braded ones that are made for faucets and install those. The only time I have had a leak with them was the very first time I used them. I tightened them too much. They need to be hand tight and then 1/2 to a full turn more. That’s all. I will never use them old plastic supply lines ever again.

My landlord says it’s my son’s fault that the shower is broke and therefore I have to pay. That doesn’t sound right. It wasn’t intentional. He had an epelitic seizure and hit the spicket with his head. Good grief.

Sorry to say it is your responsibility, your land lord is correct..the landlord didn’t break it. Whether it was an accident or not you still need to pay.

I’m putting a stacked washer/dryer in the closet in my kitchen, right next to the sink.
Is there any way to make washing machine plumbing tie in to the kitchen sink plumbing?
For example, could the washing machine drain into the disposal like the dishwasher? If not, why not?
Or, could I put a wye in between between my disposal and p-trap, and make a standpipe for the washing machine to feed in there?

The volume of water that a clothes washer discharges is much greater than what a dishwasher uses, The drain connection at the disposer is too small to acommodate the volume.
If there is room, I would add the wye after the sink P-trap, build it out with ABS pipe into the closet, add a riser, and drop the washer drain in there. The only problem I can imagine is that if you are draining the sink, running the dishwasher, and washing clothes at the same time, the vent stack may not be adequate.
Guess you just better not run ‘em all at once?
