If they are Venetian blinds then yes, you open the 2 little buttons at the bottom of the blind and slide the heavy piece out , you will he see strings on the sides , shaped like a step ladder, trim the small one the one that holds the slot in place , take out as many slots that you want ,but make sure that you are left with enough thread to insert back when you replace the heavy bar at the bottom ,insert the buttons back in and now you have as shorter blind , if you need to narrow it you need to cut the sides a bit .
