It leaks from the top handle and I don’t really know what to do with it to take apart and fix it.
Please help. I got it from Overstock.com so I can’t just take it back.
ok. Found it.
The handle sticking out of the front screws on.
The stud that it screws onto, it has an inset in the middle of the stud for an allen wrench, Unscrew it and the top comes off.
New problem – nut on top does not have room for me to get a wrench or socket on it. Any ideas?

Somewhere near the top of the center post is a set screw you need to loosen (not remove) and the lever will lift off the post. Inside is a water mixing valve or diverter ball that lets hot or cold water flow in proportion to the handle position. The o-ring seals are bad. Go to your local hardware store and get an exact replacement, about $ 8.00 (U.S.) and put your faucet back together. If you get cold water out of the hot water side, you put the valve in backwards.
Find out how to check your home for gas leaks
0Gas leaks are a serious business. This is not scaremongering – people die escaping gas, so to know about the dangers and how to deal with them is important. Whether you know it from water, central heating, gas stove or outdoor grill, how to check for gas leaks is an essential skill to stay safe and – as a lesser concern – you save money on your energy bill.
There are several telltale signs that you have a gas leak in your house, but usually, the most obvious sign is the smell. It is a common misconception, but natural gas is odorless actually, in part, why it is so dangerous as people can inhale toxic fumes, is without realizing it. To combat this problem, gas suppliers add artificially a “odouriser” or chemical liquid, the gas with an unpleasant smell impairment, which alerts the senses to its presence.
The smell is odouriser sulfurous, like rotten eggs, the surest sign that you have a gas leak. Sometimes new equipment, such as false chimneys have a strong smell of burning it used the first time, this is normal and the smell was burning within an hour. should be the smell of gas is quite distinctive and clearly noticeable, but when the smell of a new device goes on to say could be faulty, in which case you should call the manufacturer.
Other than the strong smell of gas, you can hear a faint hissing or perhaps even able, the gas is moving small clouds of dust from the environment to see. If you find any of these signs, the gas off at source, and call your provider. Most offer a free service to come and make your house safe.
In some cases, a gas leak may not be more than obvious, and could only be a small leak, but still potentially very dangerous. The pipes, which changes color with black stripes are evidence of gas leaks at loose fittings. If you suspect a minor gas leak, you can test your furniture with a spray bottle and soapy water. Spray the liquid around the gas valve and check carefully for small bubbles. If bubbles appear, then your gas is leaking and you need to tighten or reset the valve. Do not wear out too hard how to make the leak worse, and – if in doubt – call a professional for your problem to fix.
Under no circumstances, if you suspect a gas leak you should light a match or switch on / off all electrical appliances. Even switching off a light bulb can be enough to spark an explosion, so extreme care contact in these circumstances.
