In the search for alternative energy sources at home – the heat?
Last year my fuel bills were quite high, despite the use of a cooperative oil. Only about oil prices in the newspaper make me crazy – this is the most environmentally-friendly and $ spoilage think I should? Maybe I’m wrong, but I do not think that switching to gas is the answer. I live in the suburbs and my house in May 1200 square meters. Thank you for your help! Reply

As the heat pump is supposed to work?

As the heat pump is supposed to work?
I live in a wide mobile home 1996 Double. We have the A / C pump and furnace inside. I should ask myself, does anyone know is the A / C (outdoor unit) are, if the A / C is on or it actually work when the heat is too much? I thought the furnace (inside) heat strips heat the house and the A / C unit (outside), it cools, but I just wanted to be sure. My heat works great, but the last two months my electric bill was outragous! We use more kilowatts than this time last year and it’s warmer this year. The cooler seems to work fine though. I thought I would see what someone is thinking about it. Have to thank you for reading :-) Answer

Either you have air conditioning with heat tape or a heat pump with heat strips. If there is a heat pump outdoor unit turns on. It really is cold air, because for all the heat it can get cooler air transfer. At some point, he can not pull more heat energy (I think around 30 degrees F) and therefore only the work of the heat strips and outdoor unit should be near. Get all the heat it can get out of the air is cheaper than operating the strip of heat. They draw much current to heat the house.

I have a small heater in a room and a heat lamp in the ceiling of my bathroom?
If I have both at the same time, it takes 20 seconds to travel the circuit breaker for the circuit. How can I prevent it from tripping, but with two things at once?

The switch is there to prevent the wiring in your house too hot in high current (or amplifier). Only a licensed electrician should approve larger cut on the track.

Cookware is often made of stainless steel but has a copper bottom. Use your knowledge of specific heat to expl?

Cookware is often made of stainless steel but has a copper bottom. Use your knowledge of specific heat to explain why copper bottom cookware is advantageous.

Copper has a relatively low specific heat (24.440 J·mol−1·K−1) compared to other metals such as iron (25.10 J·mol−1·K−1) and nickel (26.07 J·mol−1·K−1).

Heat capacity is the measure of how much heat is needed to increase the temperature of a substance by a given amount. In other words, lower heat capacity = faster heating.

The reason this is advantageous in the use of cookware is that cooking becomes a much faster process that does not require a long startup time. Waiting long periods of time for cookware to heat up can be a waste of gas or electricity (electric stove).

Geothermal heat pumps

geothermal heat pump is an energy-efficient means of obtaining the temperature of the soil and the underground in the winter or heating as a heat sink can be used in the summer draw away to warmer temperatures go home. Heat sink to absorb heat energy from point A to point B by the heat point of A and transfers it to another area, which lowers the temperature of point A and point B in the file.

geothermal heat pumps can also be known as geothermal energy of the earth and can save on energy costs. Robust and durable, geothermal heating and cooling systems for 25 years expected in the interior, with an expected lifetime of 50 years for ground loops open.

Geothermal energy is not alien to humanity, as the concept of extracting heat heat can again be traced back to the beginning of the era of civilization. Partial heating comes from underground molten core of the earth and float to the surface, and some of the heat in the earth is in the opposite direction by the solar radiation that can penetrate just below the ground line detected. On some level, to keep their underground chambers and heat are a major resource for environmentally friendly heating.

In addition, cost-effective energy supply for residential use, the geothermal concept widely used for community services in places like Iceland, used where geothermal government building used to melt snow. In addition, have Klammath Falls Oregon and Boise, Idaho, made their geothermal energy to good use with large systems for the whole building heat and some sections of the cities.

The geothermal heat pump industry has been a steady financial growth in a world where people take responsibility and thought-provoking experience environmentally friendly choices in life. If you choose your geothermal heat pump, you need for the Energy Star logo, or if your not from the manufacturers use the symbol, you can be assured a high efficiency unit at a rate of 13 energy efficiency (EER) or coefficient of 2.8 COP ( COP).

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, heating systems are economical, installed on the increased demand with more than 50,000 geothermal heat pumps throughout the country each year. Consumer awareness, and meet competitive production experienced a steady increase in public about the benefits of geothermal heat pumps, and lower cost for most budgets to educate.

A geothermal furnace is a bit more of a conventional system, but in most cases, long-term benefits outweigh the initial costs. Depending on the size, efficiency and economics of the geothermal heating system you intend to buy the most satisfied customers report a balance on the purchase price from the first three to five years of operating system. So if you intend in a property and have to stay a while, the solution of the geothermal heating system will save you money on your electricity bill for a considerable amount of time and take a positive step in the right direction for green living.

www.homebuildingshow.co.uk To an extent there are 3 kinds of heat pump, broadly. Ground source, air source and water source. Ground source has been around, in fact theyve all been around for quite a long time its a very old technology. People think this invented the week before last, and it wasnt. The first one in the UK went in, in 1952, into the Royal Festival Hall in London, it takes its heat from the Thames. Theres an array of pipes laid in the bed of the Thames, and its still working. Its fridge technology, its exactly the same as in the back of your fridge. So once its in and working it isnt going to stop working. Is it right in any site? Well, theres been a big push lately with air source pumps, as they are cheaper than ground source heat pumps and water source heat pumps, and they do work, and theyre very effective in the right situation, and the right situation is when youve got a well insulated, relatively airtight house which has a low energy demand, a low heat demand and you dont have mains gas. Its still about the same price as mains gas, and youve got under floor heating. If youre not meeting all of those criteria then it might not be the best thing to do. You can step up in efficiency to a ground source heat pump, which will cost more to install, but over three to five years that will balance out with an air source heat pump, if you havent got the right conditions. You still need good conditions, you still need good insulation, good air tightness and under

Is radiant floor heat good for basement?

Question : Is radiant floor heat good for basement?
Am I wasting my money, or is there a benefit to putting radiant floor heat in the basement floor of my new house that I’m building? The basement floor is approx. 2 feet below the frost line.

Concrete makes a great heat sink. If you put radiant floor heat in the basement floor, I would say yes, that you are wasting a lot of energy, because you’ll be heating the dirt under your house more than you heat the space (because the ground outside will be colder than your house, more heat will flow out than in).

If you want something similar, maybe go for baseboard heat, with carpet installed. Other than that, look at space heaters or ducted heating systems.

Space heaters actually work a lot better than I ever thought they would. I had 2 in a house I lived in a couple years ago (not my choice at all), and it worked well.

Do you have a geothermal heat pump?

geothermal heat pumps is a good way to the high cost of energy we currently live balanced. These machines use energy that is stored in the earth. They should ensure a good, clean, quiet cooling and heating. In addition, many people see their energy costs by up to seventy percent.

problem with a geothermal heat pump is that many people never heard of them. Many people could save on energy costs and they are not even aware, as they can. These devices work like a standard heat pump.

The main difference between the two types of systems is a standard unit of heat into the air to get rid of outside. The geothermal systems transfer heat through their pipes filled with fluid, which are buried underground.

owners find that the geothermal heat pump needs no cooling fan to circulate the air through its compressor coils. They pump the liquid, so that they are kept inside from the elements, because they are very quiet. Make sure the unit you buy comes with a guarantee of at least ten good years.

A geothermal heat pump

is expensive to install, but because so little energy that could be the payback quickly enough. Installation can cost up to $ 20,000 to 15, which contains the pump, control, and ground loops. Some states offer incentive programs for people to install these systems.

The studies were

that determine the average length of time costs, pay only seven or eight years make. However, this will depend on the local operating costs and how your house is insulated, and use the overall efficiency of the geothermal heat pump you. Another reason to install one of these units is that there be a reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases.

If you are looking for alternatives for heating and cooling at home, then the investment in a geothermal heat pump and watch your energy costs drop significantly.

Turn your thermostat to something crazy like 90F and go look at the A/C condenser unit outside. If it is running and cold air is blowing out of it then you have a heat pump. It is also common for it to get some ice on it.

If it is super cold out like below 30 you probably have backup heat and the outside unit may not work so it is best to try this on a day above 35-40.
