Question : Is this a good first kiss……………..?
You two are walking home down the street from an amazing date and its getting dark outside, but halfway there it starts pouring down rain. He gives you his jacket and takes your hand as you start running to get to your house where he will drop you off- unfortunately its a couple blocks away, so no matter how fast you run you will end up drenched. Halfway there, you stop running in front of a brick wall because you guys are breathless and doubling over with laughter while the rain soaks you and you clench onto his strong hand. You are cold and pull his jacket tight around you, letting go of his hand to sweep your hair away from your face. He turns to look at you and your eyes meet as time seems to stop, he then asks if your cold, to which you reply yes. He opens his arms for a hug and pulls you into him- your head is resting on his chest with his head carefully placed atop yours, meanwhile his arms slip inside his jacket your wearing to encircle your waist and keep you close. You barely notice the pouring down rain at this point, you are too enamored with each other. After a time, he pulls back and your heart starts hammering wildly against your chest. You look up quizzically, and he meets your gaze warmly. He raises his hand and with it he brushes some of your wet hair behind your ear, and his palm lingers on your cheek. His fingers graze down the side of your face until they come at a stop under your chin. He lifts your chin up, making you tilt your head to directly face his and he leans down bringing him a inches length away. His lips part and he whispers your name, barely audible with the clapping of thunder in the distance. You lean into him and watch as he closes his eyes, with yours soon to follow. In a split second, his lips cover yours sweetly, softly, and hesitantly. You melt into him and return the pressure reassuringly as one of his hand slides to the nape of your neck nestled in your hair, gently pulling you closer to him. You run your hands down his strong shoulders and soon your arms are looped around his torso. He moves you slightly, so now your back is pressed up against the brick wall you had stationed yourself in front of. The intensity of the kiss increases, and the rain continues to pour. After an eternity, you both pull away in amazement, he moves to place his hands on either side of you on the wall your against, and you hook your fingers through his belt loops playfully. A genuine smile dances across both of your mouths, and a knowing look in your eyes. He backs up from the wall, and takes your hand leading you back to the street you were walking on. You feel warm and light, and absolutely beautiful as you walk hand in hand with him the rest of the way back to your house and up the driveway to your doorstep, where he leaves you with yet another wonderful kiss before reluctantly leaving for his own house a few blocks away. You stand unmoving and happy at your door as the rain finally comes to a gentle stop. You are watching him walk away in the dark, but before he disappears from sight, he turns around to look at you once more with a such a lovely smile and a twinkle in his eye, which you return whole heartily. You take a deep breath as you turn to open the door, relishing in the moment, and you prance up the stairs to you bedroom, where you lay for hours on you bed replaying it all in your head. Just before you drift off to sleep and into your dreams, he calls you to say goodnight.
