so if any one could give me some insight on what they are used for that would be great.

6″ sandwich knife, i hope it is not just for slicing sandwiches.
4″ utility, i am sure i could figure this out but still
And what do i use a paring knife for, i usually use them for smaller stuff like shallots, what else.Thanks.

I use my paring knife to prepare all my veggies, peeling potatoes, whatever; the 4″ can be use to cut fruit; the 6″ for just about anything. None of those knives are very big.

Here’s the deal. I want to detail my car … but other than washing the outside and vacuuming I have no serious skills in cleaning a cars interior. (I want to clean the upholstery and the carpets. All of the interior … paneling and everything)

We do not wash our own trucks. There is a fleet service company that contracts with Fedex Express to do the work.

They aren’t allowed to do any work on employees vehicles. I wouldn’t want their brushes and hoses scratching my baby up anyway. (smiling)

Please tell me what to buy and basically how to detail a full size sedan?

I truly appreciate your help in this matter. She really needs it! (laughing)

I know the major alarm company would not monitor the home if you quit paying the bill or cancel service, but I think the actual sensors which are installed along with the in home hidden siren would still work. I’m asking this because the city in which I live does not send the police anymore to a home where the home security alarm has gone off. A rent a cop will be sent instead to the home, and then, if they see the house has been broken into, they call the real police. By that time your entire home could be cleaned out.

Those who do not study history are bound to repeat it.

America, and the principles for which she stands, democracy and freedom, are at war with Islam. Islam’s clearly stated objectives and goals in the Koran are in clear conflict with those of America. Islam’s soldiers have already infiltrated America in many areas including the military. (Remember Fort Hood and the Times Square plot?) It’s propoganda agents and recruiters, the Imams from Saudi Arabia, work their subterfuge through out the wahabi mosques in America, adding to their numbers daily. Like the trojan horse, the enemy has already breached America’s walls and have and will continue to wreak havoc from within. Profiling is expensive both in terms of man power and sheer logistics and is not enough to assure the safety of all Americans.

The most cost effective solution to the problem of preventing terrorist propogation and attacks at home is the internment of all muslims in America. Now before all you left-wing Kennedys and Hillarys get your panties in a bunch, consider the alternative: if just one terrorist cell succeeds in by-passing our leaking security systems, thousands or even millions of American lives could be lost if such a cell were to detonate a nuke in a major American city. Is it worth the risk just to placate a tiny percentage of the American population?

This is WAR and in times of war, the needs of the few are outweighed by the needs of the many.

The Japanese internment during WW2 should serve as a shining example of how effective this solution was. I don’t recall any terrorist attack on U.S. soil during the internment. If it worked so well back then, it should work just as good now.

For the duration of this ‘war on terror’ a.k.a. war on Islam, only two options should be given to muslims residing in America: Internment or Deportation to an Islamic country, say, Saudi Arabia. Any muslim choosing internment in America should have to forfeit their property in order to cover the cost of internment so the over-burdened U.S. taxpayer won’t have to foot the bill. In addition, the Saudi sponsored mosques could be sold to private developers and converted into multi-family dwelling/mixed residential/light commercial use to also assist in the cost of muslim internment.

The cost savings alone in not having to profile and survail every muslim peep should be enough to change the mind of even the most ardent liberal. This money could be funnelled into the war effort abroad for a speedy victory and the quick return home of U.S. soldiers. The savings could also be used to improve health care, crime reduction, education, and local infrastructure.

When the war is over, like the Japanese interned during WW2, those muslims interned can be freed to enjoy the democracy and freedoms, including the pursuit of happiness, paid for with the blood of U.S. soldiers.

Recently I have begun to change out my standard light bulbs with the energy efficient ones. The new flood light ones are great! Anyways, as you know, you turn on the switch, and usually the lights start off dim, and about 15 seconds later you have full brightness.

I would like to do our bathroom but wonder if anyone has seen a bulb that is energy efficient that turns on immediately at full power?

I bought the ones at Home Depot and have them through out my house and never have to wait for them to fully light. I can’t remember the brand though, sorry.

I am a magician and I can tell you I never, ever, use fire in my performances. There is just too much risk of accident, plus my insurance does not cover it.

Buy a deck of cards and start there. Go to your library and get a book on magic. Don’t think that just because they are in a book in the loibrary they won’t fool people, believe me you can get come free stuff that is great at the library.

I also don’t know how old you are but try to not get caught up in that whole Criss Angel over the top presentation stuff, that’s not what real magic is about. Walking up to people and performing is real magic. I mean real people (not stooges) like are seen on Angel’s shows. And yes, absolutely every person in those videos are in on it.

Get some cards and practice, good luck

Detailing a vehicle is only as good as you want it to be. Let me explain. Keeping a vehicle clean takes a lot of time but if you don’t do it sooner or later it will be so dirty that you work for hours and will still not be satisfied with the results. It is necessary to do regular cleaning and sometimes people do not take enough time to keep them clean. Some times people just wipe down the worst of the stuff. Myself I use my truck as a truck so it does get pretty dirty. I have a carpet shampooer at home that has a upholstery attachment I use this on the seats, carpet, and carpeted panels in the truck. Common glass cleaner like windex works fine for windows. [Wad up old newspaper to do the final cleaning on windows. This makes it easier to get a streak free shine] Do not use any harsh chemicals, this tends to damage things like a lot of plastics. I buy soft toothbrushes to use for getting in tough to get to places. You can buy cleaning wipes at auto parts stores or the automotive section of discount stores. Same with bug and tar remover, wheel and tire cleaner etc.. for the outside of the vehicle. Now the interior gets vacuumed and wiped down. Then I do the windows and go over the dash again. This time inspecting closely around any screws, joints, etc. to see if I need to use the soft toothbrush to get anything I may have not been able to reach. Then I shampoo the seats and carpet using a cleaner that has scotch guard in it so that it is protected against future stains. Now I wash the exterior and clean up any bugs or tar that I may have got on it, again using toothbrushes for fine detail around emblems etc.. Then I do the wheels and tires. One VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember is to wash out your rag, brush, etc.. very often because these get the dirt off but if you don’t rise it from your brush or rag you are rubbing it across other parts of the vehicle and most dirt is abrasive. Allow it to dry good before waxing. The vehicle needs to be opened up so that the interior can dry well also. After it is dry I apply armour all to most of the vynal inside the vehicle but not the top of the dash as I do not like the reflection on the windshield and would rather replace the dash pad in a few years than have the distraction but most people would rather the dash shine and not crack so they use armour all on it too. I do use some pre-miostened cleaning wipes and wipes with armour all already on them but they are expensive and I only use them for touch ups or when I don’t have time to do it like normal but want it to look better. As for the cost the first time you may find that you have as much or more in products than it cost to have it done professionally but you will have stuff left over and it won’t cost much next time.

Hand held wand….But it may not be as easy as you think.
Often the tub spout is not made in a shape that would allow for something flexible to fit over it and get a good seal.
Take a look at buying a new tub spout that has a hand held shower wand as part of the original design.
