What can be done to a ground floor condo so that it doesn’t feel depressing?
2Question : What can be done to a ground floor condo so that it doesn’t feel depressing?
Honestly, it feels like a dungeon or a basement. The living room faces the front window and we get that “fish bowl” effect when we open the shutters to let in natural light. But what can be done? & Its only eight feet tall from floor to ceiling!!!

Get some white or off-white tab top panels and hang them from ceiling to floor to give it some height. If you already have some blinds up in the window then you can open up the blinds but leave the curtains closed so light will still come in. Also, it prevents from people looking into your room.
I would also had a lot of greenery around. Some nice plants that are not too messy.
Lastly, de-clutter.
I replaced a ceiling fan/light with a pendant light. The dimmer switch doesn’t work now. Is it broken?
0Question : I replaced a ceiling fan/light with a pendant light. The dimmer switch doesn’t work now. Is it broken?
I replaced a ceiling fan/light, which was attached to a wall-mounted dimmer switch, with a pendant light. The dimmer has an on/off switch as well as a slide bar to control the brightness of the light. The dimmer did not control the fan before and only controlled the fan’s light. The circuit breaker was triggered during installation and had to be reset. I used one of the bulbs from the fan for the new pendant light. While the new light turns on/off with the switch, it does not dim. The light stays at its brightest regardless of where the slide bar is moved. Did the dimmer switch get damaged? Should I replace it? If not, why does the dimmer not work on my new pendant light when it worked 30 minutes before with the fan light and same bulb?

unfortunately the dimmer it’s gone the resistor that is inside got short out then is nothing you can do unless you know electronics’s . Usually the dimmer’s for fan/light they came with the set but if for some reason they get short out they only work on one mode and some people try another kind of dimmer but unfortunately the also serve on one mode buy your self a new dimmer .only that this time you know before installation turn the proper breaker off then install it because they are so sensitive
infocus x1a projector doesnt start?
0Question : infocus x1a projector doesnt start?
when i try starting the projector, the power light etc starts normally but the lamp doesnt start, and there comes a small chrr chrr sound..i waited for sometime removed the cables and fit them again and it started normally..now after 24 hours i tried to restart the projector and it again gave the same kind of noise initially and now its not starting at all. Everytime the lamp tries to start and makes the noise but the lamp doesnt start. please help
Is there are way to replace or repair the ballast? It seemed like some minor connection problem as I said after making that noise it worked after i removed the cable and replugged them and tapped the air vents. but as i said today its not working. It keeps on making that lamp starting noise but the lamp doesnt start. I checked the lamp it seems perfectly fine.

It could be the ballast. The most likely parts to go are the lamp or the ballast (which is necessary to get the lamp to start). See the questions and answers at the link.
Where’s a good place to buy carpet flooring that doesn’t cost too much?
4Question : Where’s a good place to buy carpet flooring that doesn’t cost too much?
I’m thinking about re-carpeting my house and have been looking at different sites trying to find carpet that isn’t WAY too expensive. I do want it to still be good quality but don’t want to have to spend too much. I would say I would need about 1300 sq ft of carpet. Let me know if any of you have used a company you like that’s not too expensive.

If using an epoxy floor coating on slab concrete what are the best ways to make sure it doesn’t fail?
0Question : If using an epoxy floor coating on slab concrete what are the best ways to make sure it doesn’t fail?
I’ve read a floor maintainer can help create a profile on the slab, or pressure washing it when degreasing the floor. Also, what order would you use the tools in? It seems very complex. Thanks for any help!

Nope, no way. Not realistically, I mean if money is no object, but in reality you’re WAY better off buying a car with the curtain airbags.(Maybe trade it in before it gets too old)
What does the security light on a car mean when it doesn’t blink but just lights up?
1Question : What does the security light on a car mean when it doesn’t blink but just lights up?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic LX and recently my car’s alarm system stopped working. I can lock the car using my remote but it doesn’t make any noise when doing so. It used to but now it stopped. The dashboard security light also stopped blinking. It now just lights up and stays lit. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Depending on what model alarm system you have, a constantly lit LED usually means that the alarm is in Valet mode.
No guarantees since you didn’t go into detail about the alarm model, but you can try this:
1. Look for a toggle switch or push button switch somewhere on the dashboard, it’s usually located near the Drivers kick panel.
2. If you found the switch, put the key into the ignition and turn it to the “on” position.
3. Flip the toggle switch or push the button and keep it held in
4. While still holding the switch/button in, turn the key to Off and pull it out.
5. Release the switch/button and the LED should be off.
If that doesn’t work, try finding out what type of alarm you have and Google a manual for it, if it was factory installed there should be instructions in your car manual or you can call Honda.
The rental carpet cleaner doesn’t seem to ever get the carpet clean.?
3Question : The rental carpet cleaner doesn’t seem to ever get the carpet clean.?
The house we moved into has very dirty carpets. After many passes over the carpet with the rental cleaner, the water in the basin still comes out dirty. Could it be possible that the cleaner has a clog of dirt or are these carpets just that filthy?

Car doesn’t blow cold air. How to get my the air conditioner compressor clutch to engage?
1Question : Car doesn’t blow cold air. How to get my the air conditioner compressor clutch to engage?
I have a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. A/C blows, but not cold. I’ve been looking around a bit, and found that the clutch on the air conditioner compressor won’t engage. I’ve tried jumping the plug on the accumulator (I believe that’s the low pressure switch?), but it still doesn’t engage. Where should I check to see if the compressor is getting juice at all?

There is a low pressure switch on AC compressors so they won’t run if the collant escapes. You need to recharge the system, stop the leak while you are at it, and once you have it recharged, the clutch should engage.
