Desiccant is a dehydrating and some how lyofilizing agent in some products. so is it suitable for pesticides?

I can’t imagine how. As far as I can figure out it would increase the salinity of your pesticide, but that’s about all I can figure it would do.

Question : Where can I buy a small desiccant bag?
I have a 12 cubic foot gun safe and was recommended to have a desiccant bag in there for moisture control. Any ideas where I can find and buy a small desiccant bag for it? I have looked on the internet but have found most websites have the bags in high quantities, in which I don’t need.

if there is any kind of warehouses or trucking terminals by you check with one of the truck drivers. i have seen some bags in trailers that i have unloaded.or try a gun store or sportin goods store. not sure of sure of email address but you may want to try Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shop or even Lab Safety Supply. the lab place is a good site they have a lot of stuff there that comes in handy around the house. if you go on this site be sure to check out some of the safety glasses. they got some pretty nice ones, cheap. i will not shoot without safety glasses

Question : Can I recharge silica gel desiccant bags by putting them in a food dehydrator?
I have a few 30g silica gel desiccant bags that need to be recharged.. I do not want to have to open them and use an oven, so could I just put them into a food dehydrator? Has anyone ever recharged them by doing this? Also, how long should it take? Thanks to whoever helps!

Depending on where you live, you can go to the shoe department of a retail store, and they usually have bags of desiccant they would be happy to get rid of. There is an outdoor store (kinda like an REI) near me that has a huge treasure chest filled with the little bags, free to the taking.
