I need some serious help putting curtains up!?

Question : I need some serious help putting curtains up!?
I have a VERY large sliding door in my apartment. It is 3 paned, about 105 in. long. The window is covered now by awful vertical slatted blinds (I have ALWAYS hated them) and my apt. management has told me I am not allowed to remove them. I can put curtains up OVER them, but that’s it. The issue is finding a curtain rod that will work WITH these blinds. The hardware and blinds (all of it together) sticks out about 5 inches from the wall (and this is w/o the blinds vented open). All of the curtain rods/brackets I can find are too “shallow” to be able to go over top of this. I don’t want there to be a buldge at the top of my curtains where the blinds are jutting out, once they’re up. I have looked everywhere and I just can’t find ANYTHING. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Also, once I put the rod up above the blinds, it’s going to make the length of curtains necessary over 96” (which of course, is the longest curtains I can find, other than custom). So if you know of a place that sells extra long curtains, that’d be great also. If the curtain rods you know of aren’t long enough (like I said, over 105”) that’s ok, because I assume I could just use 2 or 3 of them. The main thing is that the brackets/hardware allow the curtain to hang at least 5” out from the wall. Thanks!

I have a color pallet of beiges & reds in my room. My wall color is a medium shade of beige. I added white vertical blinds to the deck doors that doesn’t blend in with the rest of the room. I thought of placing curtains,sheers,or a long scarf to soften them. My question is, how to add any of these with the blinds.

Question : Is there an easy window covering for living room windows besides curtains and mini blinds?
I have 1 large window and 4 small (2 are opaque). Large is approx. 4.5 ft. x 4.5 ft., in a rather modern apt. Silver metal window casings and windows push out with handle at bottom. There are no panes in them and they are recessed about 2 inches. The small ones are about 3″ x 1.5″. I am looking for something that is not real expensive, easy to install and attractive. Are there adhesives that are opaque? However, then I couldn’t see out during the day. I’m stumped. I could always use mini blinds I suppose. Any suggestions?

Mini blinds, as you suggest, will work. You might also consider vertical blinds, which are basically the same thing, only vertical instead of horizontal. These can both be purchased at a home improvement store in precut sizes. Just know your window size when you go. You might also consider a roll-up vinyl window shade. You give them a tug and they roll up completely, exposing the window entirely if you wish. You can also pull them back down to what ever level you wish, exposing any portion of the window. They are inexpensive and also available at a home improvement store.
