What you describe is a packaging unit (evaporator and condenser in the same box) that is placed outside and then channeled into a habitation.Les packaging units are commercially all the time in the United States uses. But the “plumbing” is made of metal working, that you often see on the roofs of the shops. Sometimes the units behind the shops. But to eliminate environmental laws and fire off more flexible working hours management. Within the flexible insulated wires are often used following the lines of the hull. The only application I’ve seen for such a system is that supply services, temporary air conditioning and can provide such a unit placed on a truck in a room with soft lines mounted ductless split fenêtre.Unités have also been used for many years on the world, but in the U.S. market only recently.
I have a portable air conditioner and the compressor keeps turning on and off?
2Question : I have a portable air conditioner and the compressor keeps turning on and off?
It’s 100+ out and I have a portable air conditioner in my apartment. Unfortunately, the compressor won’t stay on. It turns on for a min. then turns off, then on and off. Only the fan stays on constantly. I noticed that it only does this during the day. Does anyone have any idea the reason why? It was fine on cooler days, when when it got hot, it does this. I’m thinking it’s the electrical demand or something.

There are a lot of possibilities, and it would be very difficult to guess, but the highest likelihood is that the filter is plugged, which causes the coil to ice up. The thermostat sensor is on the evap. coil so it reads as cold even though there is no air going through it. There are too many other what ifs to mention, but that is where I would start.
HELP PLEASE! Carrier Heat pump outside compressor just buzzing and won’t start?
0Question : HELP PLEASE! Carrier Heat pump outside compressor just buzzing and won’t start?
I noticed when I opened up that there was a lizard that had crawled between the contacts on the start-up capacitor? He was electrocuted but I’m not sure that’s what’s causing the damage? The air handler, t-stat, and starter contacts appear to be working but the outside fan and compressor won’t kick on. Just makes a sickening buzzing noise. I have it off now. Thanks for any suggestions.

Can a seized air-conditioner compressor by bypassed on a 97 Plymouth Breeze?
4Question : Can a seized air-conditioner compressor by bypassed on a 97 Plymouth Breeze?
Today my 97 Plymouth Breeze started smoking. The smoke was coming from the air-conditioner compressor (or the belt). The car was brought to a main-stream auto repair shop, where I was told I would need a new compressor and various other parts totaling $ 1200 + tax. I asked if the A/C could just be bypassed and was told it could not.
After speaking with various other people and auto-parts stores, I discovered that not only was it possible to bypass the A/C, but there is actually a part called a ‘bypass pulley.’ I was also told that by simply turning the A/C off, the belt would be free to move.
I guess my question is really how to bypass the A/C and would turning the A/C off fix the problem on a seized compressor (vs. just a compressor that simply wasn’t working, but not seized).
To anyone who previously answered and has come back:
This afternoon I had the option of towing the car to a different location (Thanks to AAA). Of course. Anything to get it out of the mainstream mechanics’ shop.
A few people around town had told me I could simply turn the A/C off and the clutch would disengage and allow the belt to free-wheel. We figured that since the tow truck was on the way, we might as well test that. So we turn the A/C off and fired her up. After about 10 minutes, everything seemed to be running fine. , so I drove the car home. When I arrived, the I lifted the hood and smelled no burning and everything was still running fine.
Granted, this was not the smartest option, and I will still try to have it looked it through less money-hungry eyes. If anyone has any input like “Don’t do that again!” then feel free to post. It may have just been luck.,
Thanks.

How Much Does it Cost for a Heat Pump/Air Conditioner Compressor Replacement?
1Question : How Much Does it Cost for a Heat Pump/Air Conditioner Compressor Replacement?
I suspect my heat pump/air conditioner’s compressor may be faulty on my 11 year old unit.
I know the prices may vary wildly (I live in northeast TN). But generally speaking, how much would it cost to have a technician replace a compressor? How much do the compressors usually cost themselves?
Also, is this something a do-it-yourselfer can do, or only a technician?
Thanks!

Compressors are not nearly as expensive as technicians want you to believe. You can look on the internet at places like coolspot and others to get prices. Make sure you get the same size as what you already have. If you have a way to capture the refrigerant to re-use, and access to a torch and know how to braze, you can replace it yourself. Just unsweat the old one and braze the new one in. Then you need a vacuum pump to pull all the air out of the lines, and then put the refrigerant back in.
Automotive Air Compressor Guard System Alive
0your vehicle, the air compressor motor, the simple task of transporting the gas between the condenser and evaporator. However, it is often the heart of the system considered and if this piece of belt driven equipment, fails to fulfill his job to do, turns the whole system works as expected.
The automotive air conditioning compressor is usually mounted on the engine of your vehicle and is belt driven. One of the main causes of a faulty air compressor drive belt loose or broken as a loose band can not function properly then the compressor reduced pressure in the system and the gas is not transferred to other components of the system effectively. Similar to the air conditioning in your home or office, the vehicle system has three main components, automotive air conditioning compressor, condenser and an evaporator.
Vehicles closed system containing Freon gas and automotive air-conditioning compressor, pressurized gas, which converts into heat, high pressure gas and energy in the capacitor, which looks like the car radiator to dissipate heat of condensation of the hot compressed gas into a liquid. As it pushed through an expansion valve and evaporates in the cold Freon gas at low pressure.
Inside The Air Traded />
The cold gas, usually by 32 degrees, is then passed through the coils in the evaporator inside the vehicle. A fan blows across the coil sends the cooled air into the vehicle and the gas absorbs heat from the inside and sends them through the air conditioning compressor motor to start the cycle again. Small leaks can be involuntary leakage of gas, which also lead them to work the system inefficient.
Many times, when the air conditioner of the vehicle is used, it is a drop of water from the condenser visible leakage under the car, which is completely normal. The windows of the air conditioner at home also allows the condensate drain on the floor and is a natural part of the execution of the instrument.
Similar to the parent unit when an automotive air-conditioning compressor is operated when the outside temperature is below 60-dedgrees ice can accumulate on the coils, which makes the ability of the equipment for cooling the air inside ineffective. Just turn the unit off until the melting ice will restore its function. The gas flows through the air conditioning compressor motor has generally contain a small amount of oil to maintain the proper lubrication inside the compressor.

Can I add ductless air conditioning to old compressor?

If I understand your question right, the answer is likely no. Reason being is that the tonage on the compressor/condenser coil needs to match the tonage on the indoor coil, in other words the sizes need to match. Otherwise the compressor will fail prematurely.
Car doesn’t blow cold air. How to get my the air conditioner compressor clutch to engage?
1Question : Car doesn’t blow cold air. How to get my the air conditioner compressor clutch to engage?
I have a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. A/C blows, but not cold. I’ve been looking around a bit, and found that the clutch on the air conditioner compressor won’t engage. I’ve tried jumping the plug on the accumulator (I believe that’s the low pressure switch?), but it still doesn’t engage. Where should I check to see if the compressor is getting juice at all?

There is a low pressure switch on AC compressors so they won’t run if the collant escapes. You need to recharge the system, stop the leak while you are at it, and once you have it recharged, the clutch should engage.
