These days I have noticed almost everybody sends a little note with a registry on it along with their wedding invitations. Do you think this is rude? Is it tacky or classy?

Question : Is it possible to turn a modern/chic wedding venue into a subdued and very romantically classy one?
Okay here’s my problem. My fiance and I want and outside wedding with an inside reception. We have searched and search but all of the gardens, boathouses, etc. are booked up, not our style or way too expensive.
Then we come across this place in the downtown area. It’s an art/glass blowing studio and factory. The place is HUGE and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It has this lovely little garden on top of the roof that overlooks all of downtown as well as the river so that part is perfect but it’s the inside/decorating part that is the problem.
Before we even picked the venue we decided we wanted to use light greens, chocolate browns, gold/ivory. Basically soft, muted and natural colors. We wanted something a little vintage since I will be wearing my grandmothers wedding dress and he will be in a khaki suit. Like I said, this goes perfectly for the outdoor part of our day but the inside of this place is like a grand ballroom that has lots of black and silver with very modern looking decorations.

Is there anywhere that you can rent plants? Our city greenhouse has palm trees that people often rent for weddings. I think having some type of tall plants around the silver columns, subdued lighting, and table linens in your colors would help to make the space feel more natural.
