we have a TCS-Plus remote control switch, no hard-wired switch. I and my neighbor interfere with each other’s switch, so I need to change the frequency on both my switch and my fan/light. I found the frequency switches on my remote switch, but not on the fan.

If your talking about speed change, speed control is done with capacitors and selecting different windings on the motor wiring.

There should be a little cap that reads hot and cold….remove those to reveal screws which will remove the faucets. If you don’t know how to do this–really it is better that a professional does.

You would have to remove the fixture which means turning off the power at the circuit or fuse box first. You do that after you have purchase the correct spray paint (bronze) at your local building supply store. Then, tape off areas with painters tape that you do not want paint to get on or into, such as sockets the bulbs screw into. Take your fixture outside and spray paint it in an open area away from everything. Use a cardboard box to set it on. Spray in thin coats for even coverage. If you spray it on too thick the paint will run. Let each coat dry before the next coat is sprayed on. It may be finished in two coats but it would be safer to only try for three thin coats, to avoid runs. Read the label on the spray paint can for drying times between coats and do not forget to keep shaking the can well and to clear nozzle by turning the can upside down and spraying it at the end of each coat.
I can not stress enough how messy spray paint can be. Do not try it inside, the overspray can do a lot of damage to surroundings. Also stay away from cars, etc. outside. Wear old clothes too.
When done right it can save you a lot of money. I have done it myself and find it very rewarding. I did a whole table lamp in a bronze that used to be gold many years ago and it still looks great today. Good luck!

Here is my first phase change cooling creation =). This project took me 3 months to complete, during which I spent over 100 hours working on this system. A huge thanks goes out to Teyber and Boshuter for giving me parts and tools that went into this project, and for giving me advice on how to fix issues that I ran into. I spent about 0 on this project, but most of that money went into reusable tools and supplies. This system’s main components are: 1/2 HP Rotary Compressor (Thanks Teyber!) Unknown Steel Condenser (Thanks Teyber!) Custom Shroud from Drewmeister Four 120mm 2200RPM 12v Fans Homemade Receiver Filter/Drier Sight Glass Sporlan TXV (Thermal Expansion Valve) (Thanks Teyber!) SLHX (Suction Line Heat Exchanger) (Thanks Teyber!) Some Tools I Acquired For This Project: Oxy/MAPP Torch (Thanks Boshuter!) Robinair Vacuum Pump Manifold Propane Tank & Homemade Adapter to Schrader Fitting It’s been great fun building this chiller, and I’ve learned an unbelievable amount while building it! Can’t wait to put it to good use on my system while chasing WRs and benching with LN2.
