I recommend 1/2″ 3X5 cement boards anywhere that is apt to get wet in the shower and behind the lavatory. Green board above the water line as practical. And white board in the absolutely dry areas of the bathroom. If you expect water to be on the floor at any time… from the shower, a broken water line, or overflowed toilet… USE Cement Board around the baseboard. Greenboard and white board both soak up standing water. Hope this helps.
