Question : What is the best software for video & audio conferencing using broadband for virtual mettings.?
Any software, no matter the cost that is the best for creating virtual meetings between employees at remote location which all have high speed broadband connections. The maximum number of remote participants will be six.

Both Video and audio conferencing is needed however other services such as remote desktop connection and file transfer is not needed.

Can someone please help me. Also does anyone know the requirements to use and setup a system like this. eg. need microphone, webcam, internet 1.5Mbps, etc

If cost is not a factor, then quality may be. If you are considering 1.5Mbs call speeds, you may wish to look at appliances instead of software. Lifesize makes an high definition conferencing unit that may suit you well. Other options: Tandberg, Sony, Polycom. All of these can be easily connected via public internet at the 1.5Mbs rate (or lower) and will provide standards based communication for eventual scalability and outside communications. You will need internet access and a TV (monitor) on each end in addition to the conferencing device.

Question : Where do I get a wireless security camera with audio that can hook to my computer with a video card?
Okay what I need to be able to do is record my neighbor when she is having her out bursts shouting and yelling at me and throwing stuff at my cars aparently the way I look sets her off. That is a whole different story though I need the audio and the video to work preferably through my computer or some reasonably priced system we don’t have a vcr and I want it to record over longer periods of time and to be able to make replay these things to the police when she lies about what she did. The police have gotten somewhat wise to her since they actually asked her what she meant by things the last time and she told the police that the dog was loose if he was on a leash! and that the curb was the street and that was where she was going to put the garbage she also told them that if she couldn’t make me move my car from the public road that she would park on the street blocking the drive way so we couldn’t get out once i have documentation of her threatining me I will file a restraining order

Question : Hi. My question is regarding types of coax that can be used to carry digital audio signals.?
Basically I am building a new house and am setting up 2 audio systems for 2 locations within the house. I want to try and make use of digital audio outs from my computer and some other sources so I am runnig cables to suit. The distances aren’t great probably 10 to 20 metres. It doesn’t seem possible and certainly not economical to buy ready made digital audio coax cables to suit.
I actually work in the surveillance industry and use alot of RG59bu coax cable for video signals. It is more flexible than the standard RG6 used for TV transmission. Can I just use this cable and fit gold plated RCA connectors at each end? It is 75 ohm, which seems to be listed on all the specs for ready made cables. Or is there a specific type I must use? Also are those distances an issue? I would appreciate some advice. Thanks

I’ve done quite a bit of structured wiring and we used RG6, so the RG59bu should be OK, especially for the short distances you are talking about. Yes buying premade cables would be to expensive and probably of lesser quality if you guy good connectors.

If you wish you could upgrade to Quad Shield RG6. More expensive but hey, one more thing to brag about.

I’d also run lots of cat5e while you are at it, it cant hurt and you never know when it will come in handy for that either net, audio, phone, and even video.
