Question : Should family members buy gifts for a couples 1st anniversary?
I’m just wondering what other peoples opinions are about this? I’ve always been raised up to buy anniversary gifts for my sister and my parents since that was really the only thing i celebrated. Well this is our 1st one and I don’t know if his family or mine will even get us anything, I would atleast like a card. I hope i’m not sounding selfish, but i’m just wondering what you think. Thanks for everyones comment!!

It’s traditional to give gifts to a married couple on every anniversary until the new feeling wears off and people start forgetting.

It’s the American way. Don’t know about anywhere else though.

My husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary in 2 weeks. I asked him to get me a 5 stone anniversary band to commemorate our special day. He and i picked it out together and he will be giving it to me on the day. We’ll be going away for a long weekend too. I just don’t know what to get him to make it special.

The traditional anniversary gift for 5 years is wood, modern is silverware. YUCK to both! lol Get him something that drives his interests.. So if he likes golf, get him a new set of clubs, or a gift certificate for a new set that he can pick out himself, since you picked out your own ring! lol

What is the difference between the two? I found a ring i like for my wedding ring, under ‘anniversary rings’ at Ben Moss. Is there a difference between the two? I assume I could buy an anniversary ring as a wedding ring? Thanks!

If you like it, go for it. Anniversary rings when you already have a wedding ring seem pretty useless to me, just for ppl with too much money
