Question : How much does a wedding planner generally cost?
I am interested in having wedding planner, but I am unsure if I can afford it. I don’t want to get ripped off either. Does anyone know how much wedding planners generally cost?

I work as a bridal consultant in a bridal store, and see planners all the time, and know several. Most planners operate a few different ways. What they charge is really based on what you want them to do. If all you want is someone there on the day of the wedding, accepting deliveries of flowers, linen rentals, cake, caterers, etc., that will be one charge. Most planners do offer some form of a “day of” service that they will charge a flat rate for. But, if you’re wanting a planner to meet with you, help you coordinate your look with bridesmaids, go to dress fittings, cake tastings, caterer tastings, coordinate flowers, lighting, dj, etc., then most planners will charge a percentage of the total amount spent on the wedding. The amounts they charge are also based on the amount of experience they have in the industry, but that’s not saying that someone who’s done this for years and years is going to be cost prohibitive. Location also pays a key role in what they charge–a planner in NYC is going to cost a heck of alot more for the same exact service than one in Laramie, WY.
What I would do if I were you is look at a few planners. Attend bridal shows/fairs, they’re always at those. Ask around with friends who have recently married, if they used someone and if so, who. Do a yellow pages search for wedding planners/coordinators and see what turns up. I would expect most decent planners would start their fees at around $ 1000 in most parts of the country, but maybe not quite that much. It really depends.

Fan runs in all 3 speeds, making a clicking noise like the relay is dropping out. When clicking, fan losing power. If light is on, light goes out when click occurs. This keeps repeating.

Turn off the power and check all the electrical connections . Make sure none of the wire nuts are hitting the fan. Also check with the manufacturer if possible.

I just started using a contour pillow to relieve neck and back pain, however I noticed my sinuses just keep draining and my normal allergy/sinus medicine isn’t working. has anyone else experienced this?
yes it is memory foam and I’ve been searching all over the internet and their isn’t anything that seems to point to that. but I’ll definitely take that into consideration.

Is it a “memory foam” type pillow? If so, then that could be the cause of your problem. They have been known to cause symptoms like that.

Question : What’s the best way to refurbish teak wood patio furniture?
I have been refurbishing wood for over 7 years now and I love it. I redid our redwood deck, patio furniture, 2 roll top desks, kitchen table, cabinets, upstairs bathroom and much more. But have not worked with teak wood yet. My neighbors recently asked me if I would like to earn some extra $ by redoing their teak wood patio set that they have owned for 7 years. They complimented me on all the work they have seen me do over the years and wanted to get my “professional” opinon. I went over and checked their patio set out and said I would get back to them in a couple of days. I’ve researched several websites and have gotten lots of ideas, but they are all so different in the how-to’s. I would like to do a great job for them and make some money at the same time but am a little apprehensive. I would also like to know if anyone could give me an estimate or ballpark figure on how much one usually charges for something like this. It’s a 5 piece octogonal table and chairs with slates

when i got my tables and dresser redone the man charged me 35 dollars an hour and charged me for the stripper and sandpaper everything he needed to do the job it was exspensive but i think without the extras 35 was worth the price.it is a hard job.

Question : How much has kitchen aid stand mixer helped you in cooking and baking ?
I have just received a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer from a friend as a gift and it is gorgeous. I would like to know what are some creative ways to make this machine useful at my house. (Assumming no attachment is involved, just the three beaters: flat, wire whip, and dough hook)

just use it as much as you can with recipes that you would use your hand mixer. you will find that your cakes will be lighter and whipped cream and merangues will be higher as well as just a few ideas. the more you use it the more familiar you will become. it is awesome for home made breads and virtualy eliminates hand kneading of bread dough. The more you use the more you’ll want attachments for it like the ice cream bowl, meat grinder and pasta machine, etc. I use mine all the time and even got a small commercial unit for bigger cooking tasks. My wife doesnt cook much but loves using it and has cooked more because of the kitchen aid. make sure you get yourself some rubber spatulas and a couple bowl scrapers they will help you tremendously.
