Question : Which would use up more energy if it was running all day?-an overhead fan, an a.c. or a smaller plug in fan?
I keep an overhead fan on all day and i wanted to know if it was more energy efficient to have the a/c running instead.

a.c. uses up way more power thats why some smaller cities around larger cities have blackouts in the summer. because they are using all of that power to run peoples a.c. in appartments.

I am actually buying a 12″x16′ White alternative goose down pillow to use as a decorative pillow. Do people usually put pillowcases on them or leave them as they are?
I would prefer to leave it as it is because it will only be used as a decorative pillow. I didnt recieve it yet so I dont know the appearance of a goose down or altenative pillow
I will NOT be sleeping on these pillows, they will just be used for decoration.

Yes, you usually use a pillow case.

Question : What should I get my husband for our 5th anniversary?
My husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary in 2 weeks. I asked him to get me a 5 stone anniversary band to commemorate our special day. He and i picked it out together and he will be giving it to me on the day. We’ll be going away for a long weekend too. I just don’t know what to get him to make it special.

The traditional anniversary gift for 5 years is wood, modern is silverware. YUCK to both! lol Get him something that drives his interests.. So if he likes golf, get him a new set of clubs, or a gift certificate for a new set that he can pick out himself, since you picked out your own ring! lol

My daughters are 12 and 14 years old. They are going to learn how to cook. What sort of aprons do you recommend? Which are the nicest and the most practicals?
I’ll ask them ,but I’d like to know your advices too. You can tell me your experiences.

good luck trying to get them to wear one! How about invisable ones- or have them make their own, with the material they like, and then have them design a pattern too. Teach them to sew the aapron.

When I paint a coat of light color paint onto the deep green painted exterior window edge of the house, I could still see the deep green color underneith. What is the proper way to do it right?

Question : How to serve crystallized grapes as wedding favors?
They’re fairly simple to make but the difficulty is in serving them to 150 people as wedding favors. I might serve them in a small glass… 7-8 sugar covered grapes per person. I wonder if I should hire someone to make & store this quantity? I think it’s a lot of freezer space to use and a big worry while planning a wedding.

Ask the caterer if they have deep freeze space for you to use.
I would serve them in a bowl in the middle of each table, perhaps an ice bowl with the bowl of grapes resting on it, like you serve caviar.

I don’t know sunrooms, but at the very least, run their local affliate through your local Better Business Bureau (hit their website: you need their phone number) and, if Angies List has a local chapter in your town: join them and check their reports. All of their info is provided by their members.

I have a super comfy down filled couch w/tons of pillows. But those annoying feathers are always poking out and falling out. Does anyone have any tips to help w/this?

About the only thing you could do is have the cushions recovered with a high thread count fabric. Your local fabric store could help you pick out an appropriate upholstery fabric. I’ve never seen a down-filled couch but have had plenty of down comforters.
