ahah, thanks I mean.. occasionally you get a good band… but they’re just all so generic and it’s all been done before… Now if they took the black metal sound and experimented a little, then I wouldn’t mind (but lots of people would – look at the reception to 1349′s revelation of the black flame)

I had my preferences before, but now that I am kind of settled with the whole discography I can’t pick my favorites. I give 100% to each and every album ESPECIALLY.. well.. each and every one. It doesn’t mean that I like each and every one of them. I FUCKING LOVE EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. MayheM!

exactly. DMDS is my favourite mayhem album for the sole reason that Atilla can create so much atmosphere in the music. He’s a fantastic vocalist. I also like dead, having listened to the live recordings, and yeah, he’s good too. I like Atilla because he does something different with his voice, instead of the ‘generic’ black metal vocals that you find waaay too many bands do nowadays *cough* bedroom/basement projects *cough*

@0verlord1841 Should be awarded for taking out all the atmosphere from the song Personally Dead is #1 for me, but saying that Maniac is better than Atilla just for being true is not enough for me (especially when you look at what he turned into lately!)

@0verlord1841 You have to listen to the live recordings, technically Maniac sucked in his late years comparing to deathcrush, and you can hear it in Ancient Skin, more of a computer usage than a man himself.

is it just me that doesn’t really like deathcrush that much? i know it’s like a really important album, but musically, it doesn’t really do it for me because of the vocals, I prefer maniac’s work on later albums (GDoW and Chimera)…

Drummerdrok666, what I mean is what I said. I can add to this that based on Hellhammer’s public statements this guy is a crazy fanatic, fascist racist. Being that, he hardly contributes to the Norvegian culture in a positive manner. He is much better when he is quiet and plays the drumms as good as he does. If you wish for such a president, I feel sorry for you and can only wish you good luck, when you get such a president because you are going to need it then.
