Colors that go with black & dark (greyish) silver?
Question : Colors that go with black & dark (greyish) silver?
This is the bedding I ordered:

It is NOT black & white. Yes, it has black & white in it but the majority of it is actually a dark (greyish) silver so I don’t think things like pale yellow & green, or beige would go with it… The silver changes everything.
I’m looking for 2 colors: 1 dark & 1 light
Light color will be used for: base boards, ceiling, window frame, door frames & possibly even a wall.
The walls are all stippled. There is a black ceiling fan & light laminate flooring.

There are some wonderful shades of blue you can use with that silver gray. I would take a sample of it to a paint store and find just the right one if I was you. You really have to put them side by side to get just the right tint. What I am thinking of is a darker bluish teal with a slight silvery hue. You really have to see them together to know what I mean. It is a beautiful combination.
Trim could be an off white or a soft white, as well as a white with a bit of gray in it; you could also put this same color on the ceiling, unless you decide to jazz up the room and put a lot of color on the ceiling.
You could do a medium dark gray on the accent wall and do a metallic silver dry brush treatment on it; the other 3 walls could be pale gray or pale turquoise – if the room is large enough I’d put a vibrant turquoise on the ceiling! The metallic dry brush would make a very dramatic statement, as would a colored ceiling. Popcorn can’t be painted with a brush but must be sprayed; you’d have the option to just remove it and get it over with.
Use red accents – throw pillows, vases, red lamps with black shades (with silver inside if you can find them). Do a band of red on the bottom of the curtains you use. Remember to use patterns and texture to make the room interesting.
