Will I need to remove my nipple rings to travel through airport security gates/?

Question : Will I need to remove my nipple rings to travel through airport security gates/?
I understand that I can replace the metal with plastic-type ones if need be but my piercings are only 5 months old – will I be able to change them back and forth for the 3 weeks I am travelling?

i dont think u will go to any problems wearing ur rings i used to have all over the place and travel… nothing ever happen…

The worst thing that can happen is that they pull you to the side and strip you down. If you don’t want to be bothered then remove the rings from your breast and put either plastic in place or go without for a day.

Airport Security regulations depend on the country you plan to travel to/from. Most countries tolerate worse than nipple rings and you will just need to be frisked-if the machine even beeps. (It never has for my ring)

See my Avatar? That is what they see when you go through the airport body scan. I think they will be able to figure out that you’ve got nipple rings and not WMD’s.

You will be fine. I have an industrial piercing which i am pretty sure has more metal when what you have and i do not get off the alarms

To avoid unnecessary embarrassment, I’d take them out, in case they do, by any chance, set off the detectors. I don’t think it would cause a problem to replace them with plastic ones for three weeks but you should definitely make sure that it won’t cause any damage before you do. Good luck
