Question : Is memory foam mattress good for children of age 2 and 4?
I mean the memory foam mattress of 10 inches thick, not just a topper of 2 inches. Costco is selling the twin size at about $ 400, so it is definitely more expensive than most of the regular twin mattress.

We had a queen memory foam mattress for 5 years and we like it. Just not sure whether it is good for my kids, age 2 and 4.

I know how comfortable they are, but I read an article that says it’s not really safe for very small kids, due to danger of suffocation, lack of spine support/posture problems, and strong chemical odors… the article is here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Memory-Foam-Mattresses-for-Children-10z3z1

I also remember reading in the product info when we bought ours that it is a highly flammable material and burns very fast & hot, which is even more worrisome when you think of the possibility of a house fire and child safety.
