I am looking for sheets to fit on a pillow top mattress with a 2 inch memory foam pad?
1Question : I am looking for sheets to fit on a pillow top mattress with a 2 inch memory foam pad?
The sheets I have now slide when I am sleeping and I have to pull the sides of them back under the mattress. Is there a certain brand that will fit and stay in place?

I would look for any brand that says “deep pocket” or “extra deep pocket” to help give the extra height you need. Measure the distance from your mattress to the top of your topper. Some of the packages will even say “fits up to 16″ depth” so knowing how high you’ve got will help. Alternately- you can buy “sheet holders” that can go under your mattress and clip to the 2 corners that will keep them from sliding off! These are great, cost only a few bucks, and can be found at home stores (bedbathandbeyond), online and (MAYBE?) supercenters as well. Then you don’t have to buy new sheets!

Question : What are the most prestigious wedding gifts?
Out of curiosity what do you consider to be the most prestigious manufacturers of each of the following common wedding gifts?

Cookware & Bakeware
Please note I am asking for the very most prestigious manufacturers you know of for each item. Anything that can be bought in walmart doesn’t count. Hudson Belks or a similar store is around where I am looking.

Question : Modern kitchen in a traditional house?
What do you think about remodeling a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and modern cabinets when the rest of our house is decorated in a more traditional way? Will it look out of place or is it ok to mix styles? (I don’t really want a modern feel to the family room or dining room – just the kitchen) Thanks.

Sure you can but I would caution on the use of overly modern cabinets ,,,, the stainless and granite are every bit traditional and would look great with a more traditional cabinet.
The reason is that you will want a seamless flow of styles from family room to dining room to kitchen , particularly when it comes to resale

Question : Can’t decide between 4 Las Vegas wedding chapels!?
I’m torn between Belleza, Cupid’s, Little Chapel of the Flowers & A Special Memory.
The wedding will be just the groom and I who are a little older at 34 and 40. This is both of our’s first marriage. We have a budget of $ 1000-$ 1500 for just us two on the ceremony alone. Money is secondary to having everything we want for the chapel. Any advice or input on any of these chapels (or if there are any others that are highly recommended) would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and congratulations!
Here is my two-cents. I viewed all of the chapels you listed, and to be honest, I wouldn’t go to any of them although the Little Chapel of the Flowers does have many good reviews.
If you would be willing to up your budget to $ 2K…..then you can pick from 2 of the chapels at the Bellagio, which in my opinion, would far outshine any of the others. Here is the link:

Question : Need help with ceiling fan installation.?
Pretty close to hiring somebody but wanted to check here as a last resort. Trying to install Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan & Light. It is wired so that each has its own switch. There is a standard and a close-to-celing mounting option. I am attempting close-to-ceiling. The first part that is confusing me is that the “Downrod and ball assembly” that is only used in the standard installation has the green ground wire. If i’m not using this what do I do with the green ground wire from the mounting plate? Second, the instructions tell me to connect the receivers white wire to the outlet box’s white wire, no problem. Then it says “connect the receiver red (or black) wire to the supply black (hot) wire using a wire nut”. Now the receiver has a white and red so I got that but the outlet box has a white, red, and black wire. If the white wire is neutral & the black one is “hot”, what is the red one and what do i with it? Thanks

The green from the mounting bracket gets wire nutted to the ground wire (green or bare copper, if you have one). If not, You should have a ground pigtail inside the box. If there isn’t one, and you have a metal box, you can disregard the green. Tuck it up inside the box where it won’t contact any other wires.
The white wires all get connected together. These are your neutrals. Inside the motor assembly for the fan, there should be a black and a blue. The black is the hot for the fan motor and the blue is the hot for the light. Figure out which is wired to the switch for the fan in the wall box and connect that wire to the black wire. Connect the wire from the light switch to the blue wire. Finish your installation and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.
