if god knows before hand who is getting into heaven, why the security at the pearly gates?
Question : if god knows before hand who is getting into heaven, why the security at the pearly gates?
why hire st peter & co, pearly gate security co., llc.?
and why does st peter judge who gets in? is that not gods job, or has he delegated this to a subordinate?
for a omnipotent being god sure relies on underlings quite a bit.

someone has to make sure everybody has reservations and gets seated at the correct table.
what i wonder is if god is so all powerful why are fishes and loaves with magic wine the only thing on the menu.

Bank vaults are only for authorised person to access and get in. But you need security in place to prevent unauthorised person to get/sneak in.
Your house is only suppose for you to get in. Unlocked doors do not mean strangers are allowed to get in, yet they will.
Peter holds the key to heaven becuase his preaching can unlock the gates to heaven in the hearer hearers’ heart, if there is one. This was what happened in Acts 2

So …….. you’ve been there, and have seen this ‘security’?
What you cite is the doctrine of men. There is no Biblical evidence to back up what you say. The apostle Peter will sit in judgment over one of the 12 tribes of Israel, as will the other 11 apostles each sit in judgment over one of the tribes.

Saint Peter was the bravest and most loyal of the apostles.
When he followed Jesus to the high priest’s house, after Jesus was arrested, Peter was alone on hostile ground. He denied that he knew Jesus when discovered.
Jesus did not love St. Peter for his courage, but for his attemp at being a deoted follower. Even here, Jesus loved us first.
The Lord knew people well. Still, he chose to love us and die for our salvation.

Well , if you believe in the bible, which you probably don’t, I would be asking the same kind of questions. lol Let me take a wild guess at yours. Let’s see now, didn’t it say that there was war in heaven? and didn’t it say that ‘god kicked the devil and all his angels out? Well don’t you think that the devil would try to sneak back in? Just asking! As far as for an omnipotent being, and god relying on underlings quite a bit. Just my personal opinion is, I think He’s relying on the good people to do good and try to win over the bad. Kind of reminds me of a football game. The Saints….200… The Heathens…..199 AND 1/2!!!!
