Question : Bedroom Makeover. . . paint?
I want to give my room a huge makeover, I just took out all of the childish furniture and added 2 black shelves, a black desk, and a silver ceiling fan, I kept the bed, and this is the bedding I got as a gift, http://www.target.com/Scroll-Comforter-Set-Black/dp/B000TM2M8M/qid=1246666809/ref=br_1_3/183-8154498-8528318?ie=UTF8&node=372864011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1 and I got black drapes. Oh and my carpet is like a dark pink/red.
My bed is positioned right under my wide window, I thought it could be used as a headboard, then there’s 1 black shelf on each side of the bed.
I want to paint my room but I need colors, I was thinking maybe a silver/grey for the walls and maybe a dark purple for the trim (purple’s my favorite color)
But Im not sure if thats going to throw off the black theme I have going on with the furniture. . . .

no… i think that will look great… it would be really cool if you did the walls a grey with a silver tinge …
and if you like it you could your ceilings glitter to look like stars…
first paint ceiling
then get a large thing of wall glue (dries on clear)
add glitter to it and paint that over the wall color on the ceiling
it looks really great!
oh and with paint make sure you get a brand like bear or kelly moore… most paints aren’t very good

I have a bad problem with water and mud damage and can’t afford to hire a carpet cleaner—it will need a lot of work. if i had my own equipment I could keep working on the stains, etc. Doesn’t have to be new…second-hand equipmnt okay as long as it does the job,,,in sacramento. ca

I just got a carpet cleaning machine and did it myself, i got it from ace hardware. Idk if they have those in cali though! most hardware places will rent them to you. call around!

My landlord says it’s my son’s fault that the shower is broke and therefore I have to pay. That doesn’t sound right. It wasn’t intentional. He had an epelitic seizure and hit the spicket with his head. Good grief.

Sorry to say it is your responsibility, your land lord is correct..the landlord didn’t break it. Whether it was an accident or not you still need to pay.

The window was painted. The paint is cracking. It gets moldy, and I’m also afraid water will start leaking down the insides of the walls creating a severe mold problem. The shower has tile, which we plan to remove and replace with something else. A tub surround seems impossible unless we close up the window. Our house is brick, and finding matching brick might not be possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated… Thanks!
