Fire alarm hard wired into the electric, beeps at intervals?
Question : Fire alarm hard wired into the electric, beeps at intervals?
I’m trying to study for my exams but going crazy because every 60 seconds or so our fire alarm beeps.
It is hard wired into the electric and somehow connected to a honeywell alarm system. How can I get it to stop beeping? Our alarm system hasn’t worked in 3 years and we’ve never had this problem.
Please help! Thanks.
Where can I locate this back up/9-volt battery? I took off the alarm part itself and all I can see is a cluster of wires.

Even hard wired alarms have battery backup and what you hearing is the low battery alarm. Change the 9 volt alkaline battery and you should be fine.
you should consider taking the fire panel off and changing out the back up battery that is located on the mother board you will never find it in the alarm its self. make sure you know what you are doing for the system may activate the fire and local police dept. as it is sup post to in case of fire.
