Im thinking of installing bamboo flooring. Does anyone out there have it in their homes?

The above member is correct regarding it’s sustainable material and low-cost point which is a pro. However, I would consider it’s style since bamboo is considered a grass and not a hardwood. Thus, the wear/tear over a period of time has a tendency for the bamboo to splint. My contractor recommended for me to purchase it as it is $ 1.89/sq ft where I live. But I thought it didn’t fit the style of my house (Spanish Style) and it doesn’t accept wood stains. If cost is a factor, I would consider getting the Prefinished Red oak Select instead.
