Cheap flooring.?

Question : Cheap flooring.?
Hello! I am planning to transform my garage into a recreational living room. However, right now, there is only concrete as floor, and since I am planning to bring friends over, that floor has to go. Anyone know the cheapest alternative to hide my awful looking concrete floor? I was considering those type of rubber tile that stick with an adhesive or a rug. Anyone know? The size of my garage is approximagtely 406 sq. ft. Thanks in advance!

Lumber Liquidators = 99 cent hardwood per sq ft
Flor = Carpet tiles
Ask Lowes or Home Depot specialist.

How about polishing the concrete. I don’t know how practical this would be if you ever wanted to revert it back into a garage, but it comes up really nice and is easy to keep clean.

I would not put hardwood directly on the concrete, you could have problems with warping. You could try sealing it with and epoxy. Some of the treatments can be pretty nice looking and it shouldn’t cost very much. You can always add rugs to warm the space up.

You can buy self stick carpeting squares that have a rubber backing, but it may not be the cheapest way to go!

You could check out a couple of local carpet stores and see if they have a piece of carpet to your liking in a small size to fit your room.

However, I love the idea of painting concrete to make it look rich and textured. You can paint in many ways to fit the decor of your room then throw down a few throw rugs or woven mats (again, depending on your decor) Below are a few links for getting started on painting concrete… Good luck!

why not just paint your floor and then add rugs…you can seal the floor and then paint it in your color..you could go black or grey and then add some color with some great rugs…would be alot less time consuming than those tiles…and cheaper than wood flooring
