The best thing I have found for figuring out what to do is going to open houses in new areas (particularly the model homes). Usually they use modern colours and textures which can be a good inspiration. If that doesn’t work, try going to your local ikea or checking out their catalogue (which is online too). They have some great ideas. I think you should choose the type of style you like for your bathroom and then choose the floor (say you want a Tuscany bathroom, with a lot of terra cotta and dark earthy tones… Having chosen a terra cotta wall colour, you wouldn’t want to go with a bright white floor.. I think it’s most important to set the mood with the wall colours you want and then go from there!

I agree with the previous comment. Decide on what style you are interested in. First keep in mind that a bath is WET so what ever you select be sure you select it appropriately. Try tear out sheets. Purchase several decorating mags. page through and pick out things that catch your eye. pull them out and spread them out on a table. is there any specific type of flooring you are drawn too? did you select similar if not the same? Think about color and evaluate that when you are looking at the pics. If you get a good size collections take your 3 favorite pics with you to select the flooring. Have fun. Bathrooms are great. One other thing, tile is an obvious material, but I do not recommend a real smooth tile it can be very slippery when wet. Tiles that have raised textures work great.Good luck.
