It has been proven that Chlorine destroys ozone. One chlorine molecule can destroy 100,000 ozone molecules. Samples taken from stratospheric ozone prove this. The same research proves it did not come from volcanoes. Technically you are correct that AC does not increase outside temperatures. In reality it is population growth that increases global warming. Each human being gives off roughly 300BTUs Refrigeration is the process of removing heat. More people more heat. please do YOUR hw -

I wish this video didn’t have the ridiculous intro that it does have and get into the explanation so it could be more thorough.
Also, I’m sorry but your final statement is very, very false. We no longer need coal plants and Nuclear plants for the power grid? What happens at night? Current Lead Batteries last for 5 years if that. What gives us the energy to produce the solar panels? It sure isn’t other solar panels. And what about cloud cover. If there is no sun for a few days (aka winter)

I was very interested in the topic, but when you put such hyperbole in your script caused me to take you less seriously. A better approach would be to say that conventional air conditioners are older technology that can be replaced with absorption chiller technology in many instances. Then put together some graphics of costs, tons of carbon saved over a lifetime, system maintenance, etc. Thanks for presenting this topic.

This is another simple, efficient, no brainer, technology which has been available for decades, and which few people are interested in utilizing. There is a Chinese firm which commercially produces these (Jiangsu Shuangliang Air-conditioning Equipment Co.
), though not specifically for use with solar power. In another life, I used to work as a nuclear electrician on a submarine (the USS Hawkbill) in the 1980s, and this is the way we cooled the entire ship. -
