Anyway after using up all of my characters on my 1st comment … Thanks! for saving us from a forever of washing our clothes at the laundromat. Or paying to much to fix or replace this one. The plastic coupler from the motor side is cracked. Now all I have to do is find out where to get that from for cheap.

Great video! Thanks Mike. The hardest part is tapping on the new flanges (without damaging them!) Mike’s trick with the socket was the key. You da man. Silicone spray might have helped.

Also, you don’t need to take the hoses off. I just pulled the pump aside, hoses and all.

Thank you so very much! My Kenmore was slightly different (console screws were on the front, under removable covers), but clearly showed me how to do it. And yes, my wife got a free mop of the floor with the surprise draining.

This video showed me how to easily remove the housing and now my washer is FIXED! I would hear a hum of motor when I turned it on. I diagnosed it as transmission issue but being able to get to it I just rotated it a bit and it’s been working now for a few months. Gives me time to save $ to replace

Mike, I just wrapped up a coupler change. I watched this video, segment by segment as I went. It was the perfect guide. The washer is running through a spin cycle as I’m typing this. So for a $22 part, and a little intestinal fortitude, you saved me a few hundred bucks. Thanks for making it look so easy!!
