The shipping costs for Rugs from that area would make the product unprofitable.

Another issue is good rugs require good wool from healthy sheep. The regions with ample grazing for sheep are already in the Rug Business

No they are better suited for regional conflict than Industry

Yes, the middle east’s major export is oil. Without oil, the economies would dry up.

For a country’s wealth to be generated, something has to be produced, or a product/resource has to exported.

America has enough oil to last over 100 years without importing a single drop from other countries.

Increased responsible drilling
New refineries

it seems to work for other countries. granted they are smaller but unlike solar and wind, nuclear has proven to be a viable alternative. prior to the election, obama put nuclear and off-shore drilling on the table to aid in solving the energy crisis. those options apparently were in the middle of the table, because when they pulled the table apart, those options fell right to the floor.

Not really. I read an article book by National Geographic on oil and other energy sources. Many of your household products from sneakers to the gas in your car uses oil based chemicals. It’s a very long list of products that use oil. Nuclear Power and other energy sources help reduce the use of fossil fuels (natural gas, oil, and coal). It does not replace the oil.
