Do they do tapered edge board? Also do they do a board that runs from say 40mm to match the fundo up to 50mm or the next board depth , given the width of the board this would probably do away with the need for a screen even for the most powerful showers as it would give up to an extra 1200mm fall.

Before I carry on ,i have used Wedi before and think it is a good system , but there are a couple of issues in my humble opinion. Firstly there is the issue of the overun I’ve mentioned . This can be compounded though by the taping of the joints. As the boards are not tapered at the egdes , this can create a hump beyond which water will not flow back past , this is a particular problem when fitting mosaic as a thin bed is used to fix.overall tho’ a good product.

Thaty is a very good point and the reason why many people go for a frameless screen or snail shower which is also avaiable from Wedi. I have seen manyu wet rooms that have ended up a little too wet. Personally I always fit underfloor heating to dry out the rest of the floor but of course that isn’t a good thing in the summer.
You could fix firing strips on the joist before the floor is laid to make sure the whole room drains to the Fundo tray. -
