Juicer Comparison Part 2
For part 2, I am on the third Juicer I have, talking to Hurom, and what I love. I also make a green juice, to show you how it works. If you have not seen part one, please do so, I talk about the pros and cons of the two other juicer (Breville and Green Star). KristensRaw. com http

Omega juicers have always had components made in korea by the hurom company, who simply made another patent design by doing the vertical juicer…i just bought mine and it is sweet….
i agree about drinking the juice fast, but some people freeze their juice, so thats what im going to do as i only want to juice once a week….

I think you need to get your facts checked. Omega has been around for 50+ years. Hurom just started making juicers a few years back. I bought my Omega VRT330 2 weeks ago and after doing background check, it turns out Hurom is made by OMEGA! That was the reason I went for the Omega over the Hurom. Better warranty plus Omega is US-based whereas Hurom is Japan-based.

Excellent video … one of the best on YouTube. You did a great job. The Hurom juicer sounds very nice, except the fact you get a shock if you touch the switch. It appears to be a poor electrical design. Don’t they electrically ground the unit? Is there a 3-prong plug? Other appliances don’t give a shock, why does this one. Could be a serious problem for someone with a heart condition. I probably won’t buy this juicer because of this reason.

No you shouldn’t try to store juice from this. The fact that it’s a single auger makes the extracted juice really no different than your dual gear one. According to Ann Wigmore you should consume the juice within a half hour or so. Sooner the better of course If you see videos on the Omega 8006 juicers you’ll see how the auger works, it’s pretty much the same as your vertical one, just a different arrangement. Omega now makes one just like you have, same factory I think, different name/brand.
