I’ve been using the Buck 119 Special for about 7 months now the steel isn’t the best but for the price they are great to beat on alot of people tell me that the edge won’t last but thats a lie ive skinned probably 20 rabbits, 100′s of fish and 1 deer before i needed to sharpen it but i did have a small piece of the tip of my blade break off other than that i love the knife

I haven’t seen those kinds of Buck knives before, but I have a folding pocket knife/EDC by them, and I love it. Mine’s the Bantam BLW model. I don’t know if it would be legal in the UK, but it is here in the States.

@mrmonkeyman50 No, they have 6 knives complete and in the works of being released. 1 is a small version of the skeletool. 1 is a half vesion, made for a key ring. these will be out soon. others need to be cleered. I program the wire e.d.m. and get dibs on every tool to come off the line about 4 months prior to the market. Theres a guy in sweede hobbs, you probably know from bushcraft, he’s trying a few out. peace guy

I’ve always wondered what you do with all the knives you have collected that you don’t use on your person. Do you rotate through them, or just find a new favorite a only use that one? Seems like you have a good bit of change in all those knives:)

Nice vid Mike, I think you will enjoy the Buck knives. They have went with to almost every hunting camp I have been in over the last 27 years…. I would trust my life to one any day of the week without a second thought.

Nice vid. You should have a look at the higher priced bcuk mayo kaala neck knife. s30v steel and a blade about 3 inches long. Probably more costly then the three knives you’ve highlighted.

@Monophony1 Apparently, I can own and carry a sutable knife (Full tang 7″ blade) as long as I have a reason, for example, A chef, Bushcraft, ect.

So if I’m pulled up, head to toe in outdoor gear with my kit in my bag and my knife safley stored away where it’s not easily accessable, the police should see it as reasonable… but then again… this IS the UK so… :/

@TheMassAnnoyance If you plan on using an axe to split wood, I would check out an Opinel knife in a carbon or laminated steel. Spyderco makes a UK legal pen knife; however, some cops in the UK have confiscated them under the guise of its solid build making it a locking knife “bs I know.”

I wouldn’t take the paracord off the first one, thats designed for you to put your fingers in for extra handling whilst using it.

I have heard rumors that Becker Knife and Tool is going to come out with a blade that combines the ESEE Izula and the BK11 together. That would be something to see…hope it isn’t a knife myth…LOL

You might also want to check out the Becker “Remora”–I just got one and it is a fantastic little blade! It’s almost like a miniature version of the BK11. It’s very useful for small carving or prep chores around camp. The price is very reasonable as well: Only $16.80 USD on Amazon.com.

@TheMassAnnoyance Condor’s nessmuck knife looks pretty neat. Might also want to try a mora knife seeing as they are pretty darn inexpensive (although they aren’t full tang). Pocket knives are a legal carry in almost any state from what I understand, so you might want to check out Svord’s peasant knife as well.

@wall2rockclimber Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll look into them. Another range I had my eye on was the Mora Clipper. I’ve read that it’s a favorite amongst many.
