u shouldn’t have skipped the install of the base..if u don’t put it up right the cieling fan will come down no matter if u wire it correctly or not

@Gershqui Like Chad Smith says in the video…

ground wire goes to your ground lead, the white wire goes to your white lead, the black goes to your black lead, and in your situation the blue wire goes to your red lead

The Blue and the Black on the ceiling fan only go together if you don’t have both the Red and Black wires coming from the lead from the ceiling. Since you have the Red and Black…Black to black, Blue to Red!

Hi, I have a ground wire, white, black, and red wire, and my ceiling fan with light comes with black, white, green, and blue wire. The manual says to connect white to white wire and the black and blue wire(fan) connect to black wire from the ceiling. and the green to the ground wire. My question is, where can i connect to red wire? I followed the manual and nothing works. pls. help me here. Thanks.

you Just put a metalic fiting with no CPC ( Earth ) this is not in the regulation in europ , why can u do it in usa
what will happen in the fan under a fault get live !!!!

Well you might want to step back a minute here ! this video is alomst impressive, but again too many thing where left out. inless you want to end up wearing a ceiling fan, or have a huge hole where the ceiling fan use to be, get a certified electrician to do the work.

I know where you can get a ground… Turn on all the appliences and lights in the house… make shure the floor is really wet then grab the white wire from a wooden step ladder then ask your barefoot girlfriend to come and touch your other hand.
