What other brand appliances does Ge sell? (best answer will be given)?

It changes so I don’t know what’s true today. But GE owned RCA for years. Also Black & Decker. Hotpoint was another. While GE manufactures some of its own appliances, and owns other companies which manufacture THEIR own appliances, some appliances are made by Matsushita (parent company of Panasonic) and GE has paid to put their company brand on the products they sell. NEC was another one; don’t know if it still is.

GE not only manufactures electric and electronic devices, but also aircraft engines, plastics, and even information systems, not to mention its own credit company which finances purchases and mortgages completely unrelated to their products.

Just as a perspective, there used to be like 100 or even 200 brand names of VCR’s, but in actuality, there were only about 6 manufacturers for VCR’s in Japan and a couple in Korea. There rest of the brands paid a license fee to put their names on one of those 8 brands. Exactly what the case is today with DVD players, I don’t know, but it’s still VERY similar. Only a few companies make them, the rest pay to put their names on them.
