Should I buy Analon or All Clad?

I am in the market for some cookware and I am wondering should I get Analon or All Clad?

All Clad I know is supposed to be the best(?) but also carries a very high price tag!

Is Anolan also good? Considering the much lower price?

Is Anolan as durable as All Clad?

Actually, I swear by my Calphalon. It’s all stainless steel, wears like iron, heats evenly, and cleans up great. It goes from stove top to oven, too.

I just bought an Analon Advanced set, and I love it. I think it was $300 at Bed Bath and Beyond, may have been on sale, I don’t remember. I went around and looked at/picked up all the pots and pans and decided on that one. the nonstick surface is wonderful, and the cookware is thick and heavy, so it heats up evenly. I’ve used a metal whisk (god forbid) many times in one of the saucepans because I just moved and didn’t yet have mixing bowls, so it was serving that purpose, and the nonstick coating didn’t scratch at all. I can’t imagine needing anything else. If I recall, these were heavier than both the All-Clad and the calphalon (my stepmom has always used Calphalon, but I’ve never taken to it), and the weight of cookware is one of the most important qualities.

Foof – don’t waste your money on that expensive crap – use cast iron! That’s absolutely WONDERFUL cookware! I have an iron griddle that belonged to my great, great grandma – it’s over a hundred fifty years old and whatever I cook on it turns out great!
