Your red furniture is going to be the dramatic focal point because that is the inherent quality of the color red.

It's always used to dominate, catch your attention, as in traffic signals, warnings of danger, stop signs, etc.

If you decide you are happy with that and want the rest of the room to be quieter, then use the same color as the walls, a little darker or a little lighter for your curtains.

But if you want even more drama, then find a geometric pattern that has red and secondary colors such as multi shades of gray and black.

Accessories in either case can be white, gray or black. Lamps can be silver or brass colored bases with off white lamp shades.

If the floors are wood and need a throw rug, choose beige to match the beige curtains or try to find an abstract pattern to match the colors in the red and gray geometric .

There are more good ideas relating to red upholstery on http://americanmadeyes.com/houseandhome/designchallenge/html

I agree with a very rich brown color. Great contrast with walls and floors and make the red furniture stand out.

If the furniture is a deep or intense red, I'd suggest going with something light on the windows or else the room will feel too heavy. An ivory or a grey would add interest without weight. If you want more of a color, you could try a green-grey or a blue-grey. If you purchase the curtains from a store with a good return policy, you can try out different colors and styles before your commit.

Here's an article with more tips on choosing colors:

Yes, go with rich color like chocolate brown, alternatively you can just go for brown, but that would not look as good.

I'm assuming you mean that the walls are beige, right? I think I'd go with a lighter shade of the brown from your pillows. It will not clash with the walls, but also won't look too choppy like an orange or a red might up against the walls. The other option, of course, is to match the curtains to the wall color. This always makes a room look and feel more open. You might also be able to find a stripe that incorporates beige, brown and red/orange. Something like this?
