I am assuming that you have a 24" space for the microwave instead of the standard 30 inch. But maybe I'm not understanding. Did you check with Lowe's and Home Depot? They have catalogs for appliances and accessories that are not on the floor. The only other place I can think of is Ikea. Sometimes they make smaller scale items and they do have kitchens - cabinets, apppliances, everything. If the only one you can find is the Whirlpool, I think you'll have to go for it. Just because someone said if "breaks in two years" doesn't mean you will have the same experience. You could buy an extended warranty if you are worried. However, if you are going to use it in a normal fashion and take care of it, I don't think you have a problem. Whirlpool is generally a well known, reliable brand. My refrigerator is Whirlpool. It's new, so I have no complaints. But I don't anticipate any problems.
